I don't feel this way, at all. Sure, I'm unable to work due to chronic medical issues, live on Medicaid & food stamps right now. I'm glad we have that stuff in place. I see that as advantageous. Overall I'm happy with my life, even if it doesn't always go my way. I don't feel disadvantaged. Or like a victim. I get the medical care I need. Food. Despite all the other traumatic insanity I've been through in my life, I'm able to foster & maintain lasting close bonds with other people on all levels of intimacy. I am able to be supportive to those around me. I am able to enjoy living in the moment, most of the time. I'm pretty damned able, & well-cared for.

The whole "check your privilege" thing is bs to me. Counterintuitive to actually accepting one another, or even yourself. Doesn't put things into perspective as much as it distorts it.
