Okay a few things.
You can get your hands on a real fossil from that era right now on the internet right now. Ammonites were common and so are their remains. Mineral replacement of bone is a thing, and fossils are a thing. I'm not sure if these people are saying all fossils are fake or just dinosaur ones, but I guess it doesn't really matter.
Much of the criticism seems to be placed on something that happened, like what, 100 years ago? How is that at all relevant to the science today. General relativity and not been proposed by then, women couldn't vote, and yet its recent enough to damn an entire field of science? Not buying it. They are grasping at straws. At one point in time, people had no idea what the planets were or what their relationship to Earth was. Over time models were made describing them and a lot of them were wrong. But no one, after understanding the geocentric model was wrong, went "well geez the sun doesn't go around the Earth, guess there is no sun." People got more information and made a better model. The details of how these dinosaurs actually looked has been screwed up for a long time, sure. You can only do so much with 20% of a skeleton. But you can still conclude that the animal existed, and when it existed. How many animals are around today with a tyrannosaur-like skull? You don't need 100% of a skeleton to conclude the animal this skull came from was big and scary and isn't around today.
On the subject of copies, I'm willing to bet you have never seen the original US Constitution or Declaration of Independence (still relevant even if you are not American), that you have only ever seen copies either digitally or in print. I'm also willing to bet that you would not dismiss the existence of these documents because you personally have not seen the originals. A plaster copy is a copy, which means there is an original. And I don't believe they fake most of the originals either. Evil, money-grubbing institutions are not your friend, but they are not friends of each other either. You can bet if one museum has fake fossils, their competition would find out and make it public to discredit them. I don't hear of that happening all too often, so I conclude there probably are not too many fake exhibits, at least not in the major museums. Certainly not enough to discredit the idea of dinosaurs being things that existed.
I no you said you believe dinosaurs exit, but what about the rest of it. I can't tell what is devil's advocate and what you think. Are museums faking the exhibits? Are our current models of what dinosaurs look like wrong?
