Do you think that if there'd been no Trump then there would have been a Bernie government perhaps from real change in government?
I know you weren't asking me, but I think with no Trump, the eventual GOP nominee in 2016 would have probably been Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz or John Kasich, none of whom had Trump's populist right wing appeal. Hillary still would've won the primary against Bernie, and gone on to win the general election against a GOP candidate that would fail to excite the Republican base. Bernie would have likely declined to mount a primary challenge against a sitting Democratic President in 2020, so no, there still would be no Sanders-Turner Administration, sadly.
