Why so much ESxx hate?

You could say the same thing about INTx's, and other types as well.

ESxx types are grounded, and sometimes that's refreshing. Quibbling over abstract theories is fun, but it's not all there is. I like to look at the long game and the big picture. I'm not good at keeping my attention on the moment where it belongs, but I think I have a good grasp at seeing how everything fits together.

If ESxx types will do a better job at upholding things that I think are important, I'll back them over an INTx.

One of my best friends is ESFP. He's an incredibly sweet person, hard working and consistently wanting to give to others instead of taking for himself, though he can be impulsive and impatient at times. We're friends because I will just outright tell him when he's being an irrational dumbass and he appreciates the reality check because he doesn't want to get carried away and accidentally be an ass to anyone. He also enjoys that, when we hang out, he can "take a break from being an extrovert," as he puts it, and he can just sit quietly with me and relax and poke at the internet as I read. In return he's a huge goofball who cheers me up when I'm in a mood, he kidnaps me to get me out of the house, and he pretends to be interested as I ramble about the last research paper I read for fun. :p

My godmother is ESFJ. She is the quintessential mother bear. She'll take care of her kids, your kids, her kid's friends, all of the kids in her girl scout group, and on and on. I'm 32 and still, the first thing she does when I step over her threshold is offer to feed me. Thanksgiving is her favorite holiday because her house is just brimming with people, she cooks from 5am to 4pm, and she is happily exhausted by the end of the day. God help you if you overstep with someone she considers one of "her kids," her fury will melt your face off.

Now, that said — ESFx types are sweet people when they're mature and have their shit together. But, if they're in the least bit negative, ESFPs can be whiny brats and ESFJs can be controlling fucking monsters. It's uncommon that I come across an xSFx type I can get along with. I look at them and all I can see is all the ways they're being inconsistent and irrational and they think I'm a snotty bitch for mentioning it to them and we generally just mutually dislike each other. It's like we're talking past each other because our communication styles tend to be total opposites.

To be honest, any type can be a bitch to be around in a negative state. It's not limited to ESxx types, I mean. When I'm in a bad place, I'm the most moody, negative, and self-absorbed person you'll ever meet.

The highlighted has been my experience as well. It is especially disappointing when the inconsistency includes acting in ways that work against their own stated goals and wishes. This may be a fundamental flaw in democracy.

How does that represent a flaw in democracy?
People who are inconsistent in this way will not vote for candidates/issues that are aligned with their actual interests and values. The results then won't accurately reflect the wishes of the majority.

I only dated ESFP men in college, there was no depth. You're a fool who likes to argue, I know what I want, and I'm honest about that, and for whatever reason, that bothers you. You are easily triggered and a reactionary type, it's kind of hilarious and cute. Please invest your time in caring about something else.

Also I am talking to an INTJ, we met online in a forum especially for ENFP's and INTJ's, so yes, he knows why we're together, why I like him, and I know why he likes me, he's with me because he finds he's only understood by ENFP women and is only interested in ENFP. If you knew anything about INTJ men, you would know that they have a checklist for a romantic partner -- literally, once they meet a woman who meets all those things on his checklist, he's in love.

Shoo mosquito. Shows how much you comically don't know.

Trouble with all this is that it hinges upon MBTI being A) Accurate & B) Reliable.

Neither of which has been proven beyond a doubt. It's like giving an unhinged individual who believes they have been wronged an imaginary weapon and then telling them that (like the emperor's invisible clothes) it has real power, in this context to change the (usually) social injustices of their life.

Of course it's going to be used in this way.

For a more in-depth breakdown of my theory, please buy my book Labels....or that stuff that we think gives set definition to the undefined. & it's sequel 1002 ways to abuse a name.

Simple question: why is there so much hate directed towards ESxx types (especially ESFx)? It just doesn't make any sense to me, and it's really sad. Not just disappointing sad--I mean, legitimate feelings of sorrow. :( I just can't understand why we all can't accept each other as equals. Different strengths, abilities, interests, natures, backgrounds, etc. I'm just so sick of all the "I'm an INTP and you're not, so you're stupid" crap, and stuff similar to it.

I guess this turned into more of a rant than a question. But I guess the essence really is the why part. Why? I just don't understand it.

because some people are pathetic and think being a "sensor" or whatever means being unable to think abstractly when no it's just a fucking preference or whatever

Because lots of folks, particularly 15 year olds who got INXX on one online test they took, associate ESXX with their annoying mother nagging them all the time to do their laundry. Or associate ESXX with "normies". Lol

I have definitely noticed that correlation. Though I think the "normies" are usually all the S types clumped together for whatever reason (likely a lack of understanding of the theory itself).

And as someone with an ESFJ mother, I don't know why, but that association just makes me chuckle. She's anything but annoying (well we get on each other's nerves at times, but if we weren't family I don't think I would ever be annoyed by her). Albeit, she does fit the "overprotective" parent stereotype people seem to associate with Fe females. Though I've never seen that as related to her personality. I feel like she is overcompensating because she had (and still has) an awful relationship with her own mother who was frankly not a very good parent (or grandparent, hence my mom's current problem/conflict with her— I just don't even care about that anymore... my grandma is in her 80s and is not going to change).

I do that to my family...for me it could be inferior Ne taking over and making me think that if my family wants to go somewhere in snowy weather, something bad "could" happen to them like my 63 year old father overestimating his eyesight due to age, and they all end up crashing and dying. So I try to prevent them from leaving the house if I could (and usually it ends up I ask them to call me every 20 minutes on the road). To me, the world can be a very scary, rather random place and at any moment something terrible could happen to a person I love and break me apart.

That makes a lot of sense to me. I personally think Ne can cause a lot of anxiety regardless of where it is in the stack. When I was younger and sort of suppressed my dominant Ne, it saw disaster literally everywhere. I have learned to see people being protective as a sign that they care about you.
