Thank you. I used to write poetry in high school. then I sort of lost the drive and will to do it for a long time.

I loved it. I would encourage you to take up the art again. I've written so few complete poems...but they have all been published. Most of them in an honorary sense...but I have made a little money. <-Not bad...for merely putting impressions that are difficult to put into words... into difficult words that are difficult to understand

It's hard to cross the mental block, the "uggh I don't wanna, it'll suck, no one will read it, etc" but once I get going things can flow out like water. As good as I used to be at writing prose, there's something especially therapeutic about writing poetry because it can make sense without me having to get hung up on grammar and I don't have to worry that it will or will not make perfect sense to anyone reading it.

It occurred to me I subconsciously put a lot of sexual imagery and metaphors into my poetry too, so it's very difficult to put that out there for others to read...like performing nude..

Okay, here's a piece of crap poem <-I'm being hard on myself but at the same time I sure the hell don't feel like I'm *showcasing my talent* here. No one really has seen it for a reason. But I realized it ties into some of what MDP and I were touching on.

And so I will use it as a Valentine.

If you can write a few lines in the morning before you are totally awake so it is somewhat painless because you might not be fully aware of what's going on haha. And then edit on Saturday afternoon between day and night activities...like at 4pm...when you've had 20 cups of coffee.

performing nude is good...

Funny, that fragment I shared earlier came out when I had just gotten to work and hadn't sipped my morning coffee yet
