I've had numerous type me threads over the years, but I'm interested in this sort of approach. Let's assume for a minute that the functions do NOT exist. What are your guys' thoughts?
Will update in a few days with narcissistic details about myself.
I think think from what I know of you I, S, T, and J would still be your preferences. Maybe J would be the weakest preference because you're not "organized" or "orderly" like stereotypical Js so ISTP would be an alternative, but you seem to like having things decided more than open-ended.
anyway, I'd say that you're analytical (so the stereotypical idea of T)
detail oriented, like in terms of how you process information (so the stereotypical idea of S)
And you think before you act (so ...stereotypical idea of J).
...the E/I I would not really know unless I go to extremes and say that no one ever talks to you ever and you don't talk to anyone else (what was my stereotypical ideation of E/I ...and yeah, I know ideation is not a word).
You've mentioned being a definite Sensor before, and an introvert. I see it. ISxx for sure. As for the other two letters...well, I don't know. I don't know if I see ISTJ. You seem like you have a sensitive, soft, feelery side that outweights the T. P and J is hard to tell. You mention being disorganized and extremely low on conscientiousness, which would point to classic P.
Anyway, since we're on the topic, I thought it'd be neat to try to give an "observer's look" at my personality/behavior to try to keep it more objective. When people describe themselves, it's clouded with subjectivity and may not accurately represent themselves.
Low energy, somewhat quiet and reserved.
Negative, cynical, sarcastic, complainer.
Low confidence.
Often comes up with short one liners to try to make people laugh.
Somewhat neurotic, perfectionistic, easily stressed.
Disorganized/messy and forgetful.
Extremely indecisive.
Interested in the sciences.
Does not display much affection towards others.
Does not seem overly interested in fashion--wears the same few sweatshirts all the time and does not wear makeup.
Gets irritated when the group stays off track.

*What characteristic best describes you?
a. I am adaptable
b. I am consistent
c. I am humane
d. I am analytical
*Which statement best describes you?
a. I’m tolerant and on the lookout for useful compromises
b. I am hard working and dependable
c. I am enthusiastic and creative
d. I am competent and inventive
*It is most important for me to be:
a. Adaptable
b. Respectable
c. Authentic
d. Resolute
*It is most important for me to
a. Be lively and unrestrained
b. Do things that will produce good
c. Help others and be charitable
d. Be autonomous
*I yearn for
a. Impact
b. Belonging
c. Romance
d. Achievement
*I most value being
a. Excited
b. Concerned
c. Enthusiastic
d. Calm
*The best word to describe me would be that I am:
a. Practical
b. Dutiful
c. Altruistic
d. Pragmatic
Where did you grab these from? I didn't really want this to end up a test thread because they aren't necessarily seeing the whole picture.
I'm not going to go with a gut reaction to the statements like I normally would when taking these things. I am also going to write a sentence or two relating to my thoughts on the questions/answers.
If I have an answer, I bolded it. Answers with a line though it are definitely not me. If you want to think of it in terms of numbers: 0 = items with a line through it = not at all like me, 1 = sort of like me, 2 = bolded = most like me.
*What characteristic best describes you? a. I am adaptable
b. I am consistent
c. I am humane
d. I am analytical
Really any of these besides the first one work. I mean, come on, who isn't humane? A psychopath? I don't feel strongly tied to any of these terms. I would almost pick C over the others, but that isn't the best answer either.
*Which statement best describes you? a. I’m tolerant and on the lookout for useful compromises b. I am hard working and dependable c. I am enthusiastic and creative d. I am competent and inventive
B by process of elimination. I would almost pick D, but I am not inventive.
*It is most important for me to be: a. Adaptable
b. Respectable c. Authentic
d. Resolute
Again, I am not really tied strongly to any of these, but C is my best pick.
*It is most important for me to
a. Be lively and unrestrained b. Do things that will produce good c. Help others and be charitable
d. Be autonomous
I am not a lively person, but I don't really care much about being autonomous either. I guess it's important that I get to do the things I want to do, but that doesn't necessarily relate to autonomy.
*I yearn for a. Impact b. Belonging c. Romance d. Achievement
Both B and D work.
*I most value being
a. Excited
b. Concerned
c. Enthusiastic
d. Calm
I don't "value" any of these. They are just different states of being. I am not a very excitable or enthusiastic person, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy it when I am excited about things. As for my personality, I am most often in the state of B (and second most often in D)...but that does NOT mean I at all value these over the others. If anything, I don't really like that B makes me neurotic.
*The best word to describe me would be that I am:
a. Practical
b. Dutiful c. Altruistic d. Pragmatic
Practical and pragmatic seem like synonyms to me... I picked D on the basis that I am not necessarily a practical person (in that I don't necessarily get things done or do what I intend to do), but I am a realist. Not sure if that was the correct way to interpret this.
Edit: Actually, was that a temperament test? Assuming, A = SP, B = SJ, C = NF, and D = NT, I got SJ > NT >> NF > SP, indicating STJ.

I glanced through a few of the questions and it looked like some of them were temperament questions with A = SP, B = SJ, C = NF, and D = NT. But now I'm looking at it a bit more closely and not really seeing this pattern for all of the questions. It was a guess really...but with a closer look my original guess doesn't really seem correct.

I guess they mostly fit. I'm just seeing answers that don't necessarily strike me as being completely of said temperament.
Some things I am thinking:
3. "Resolute" doesn't necessarily seem NT to me.
4. "Do things that will produce good" seems almost NF or SF rather than SJ. Changing the word "good" to something with less of a humanitarian connotaion would work.
6. I don't like the wording of the question. It seems better suited as a "what are you most like?" sort of question.
7. Again, A and D seem essentially synonymous to me.
What's with all the questions anyway? You are starting to confuse me lol.
