I've gotten back to working out for about a month now, just pounding it out on the elliptical for 35 mins 3 days a week. I'm planning to get serious, but I have a bad habit of hurting myself if I do too much too soon. So I'm ramping up the intensity slowly. Eventually I want to return to weights and I'm going to start taking my diet more seriously (that's been an up and down battle for the last month, mostly a losing one).

So in the spirit of inspiration, everyone post the ideal body that you would want given your frame. I'll start Chris Pratt is almost exactly my size and he recently got pretty fit so here is my ideal.

Christina Henricks. We have the same body type but I didn't need a boob job.

Not just the features of my body but the form my body comes in itself, unfortunately. My goals as of right now:

My ideal body is out of reach.

Well, that's not literally true, but practically true. If I tried I could get there. In order for me to gain weight, I have to eat A LOT, to the point where I hate eating, feel way too rigid/scheduled for it, and feel far too regimented by it all. I love good food, and being driven to hate food is really upsetting to me. I gain muscle fairly easily when I work out, but the amount of effort for the return that I get is just... not worth it. Having an idea body also coinsided with wanting/having a romantic partner. That's a whole nother issue in itself, and the short version is I am very unlikely to find someone who I am mutually compatible with. Without that likelyhood being high, I just can't see the worth. I wish I could make it worth it, but I'm not a point in my life where I am there. Luckily, I am not overweight, or out of shape (good genes and I'm mildly active), and I look ok without clothes on, so I am not upset per-say.

It also costs a lot of money to have all that food (I am picky, and I am not going to just shove anything in), and I am on a grad student budget so I couldn't now anyway. I plan to try again in 2ish years once I am finished with grad school.

I don't want to include a photo for personal reasons.

My ideal body is one that can do muscle-ups, front levers, handstand push-ups, 0.5x + bodyweight dips, front/backflips, pistol squats, run fast, finish a marathon, deadlift bodyweight, back-squat 2x bodyweight.. List goes on and on. I will probably never get there but I'd like to act as if I will. ;)

I'm glad you started this thread on gyms etc. I randomly walked in a gym yesterday on a whim and found myself with a membership ._. and now I'm kind of stuck in the air of what to do with it. They have pole dancing classes they wanted me to take but I had to politely refuse. Alas, a sense of personal integral respectability repels pole dancing for me. I'll stick with some of the other gym classes.

Funnily enough, Chris Pratt is playing you in.TypologyCentral the Movie...

I've never had an idea for my perfect body (I do not look after it enough, I've never not been fat), started doing some form an exercise regime though.

I was told if I lost my fat I would have this body right now. I am currently 5'9" @ 205lbs in size 34 pants and XL shirts.

This is probably my ideal as it's not crazy to maintain this amount of body fat and looks nice. I do have more lats though so would have more of a taper

So you wouldn't learn to pole dance for someone you are with. It doesn't have to be for public display.

My idea of beuaty is most likely a bit twisted. Most of the women who are considered to be femine or "sexy" look fat to me. I connect skinny bodies with the ideal of beuaty, well my own idea I guess... I think this is ideal:

Once I will get there, I was close in 2013, but I gained a few pounds since that year that I've been trying to lose like forever...

I generally wouldn't learn something I'm not too interested in for someone I am with, with exceptions, but would learn something I am interested in instead like certain other types of dance, or anything of the like. That would goals too, like ideal body type.

MBTI-wise it might be inclined towards a personal Fi in a way.

I'm quite happy with my body the way it is. At the moment it's a little on the squishy side, as it's been too frigging hot to exercise much. But I've never been overweight. I'm kind of pear-shaped and I have a smallish bust; I'd say my body type is similar to Kate Winslet's.

I'm happy with my body, although I probably should exercise more for health reasons. I'm not super-muscular, but I'm OK with that. As long as I don't get flabby, I'll continue to be satisfied with it.
