My 9 fits with both the 1 and 8 wings. I could be wingless in that regard. I'm perfectionistic, articulate, but I can also be sharp, blunt, and aggressive to push back someone else's aggression because I don't put up with shit.

I kind of do that now and it just makes me tired and resentful.. so I should stop.

Your probably a 9w1 then (that's pretty common for 9s. 6s too, but to a lesser extent)

I'm like the poster child for a type 7. No doubt of my type. I relate well to both wings, but feel I'm 7w8. If I had a secondary it would be 3w2.

After posting this, I took the second Enneagram test linked, with the instinctual variant results.

Overwhelmingly 7sx, then just barely behind it 3so, then quite a bit less 2sx, then just barely showing up 8so
Then the order continues with no color on the bars in the diagram in the following order: 6sx, 9sx, 4sx, 1so, 5sx

Then I retook the first test and it doesn't seem to gel with the above results from the instinctual variant test. 3 doesn't even list in the top 6, despite almost being equal to 7 in the other test.
The 8 and 2 being high, along with the 6, 9 and 4, doesn't surprise me. 1 and 5 don't really register much with me, as I only show my 1 in unhealthy, stressful periods of my life, and the perfectionism shows as self-criticism.

I'm definitely a 7, with pretty balanced wings, though I see myself as 7w8. Subtypes would be 2w3, 9w8 or 4w3. I think I'm most likely the Free Spirit archetype (7/8/2), though I could be the Ambassador (7/9/3) or the Messenger (7/8/4).

I'm having a quarter life crisis about my enneagram tritype.

I always knew I was 8w9.

However, I used to think 8w9/5w4/3w4 sx/sp but I think I was wrong. I definitely have a 4w5 in there and I'm way more contraflow with sp/sx. My whole life revolves around myself and my environmental. Dunno about 5w4 or 5w6.
