I've thought about studying abroad in the UK for some time during the next years and maybe start living there actually, but if what he said is true, I might change my mind. :dry:

I had no idea about this. Has anyone had experiences with this?

He is on a visa. He is not a Subject.

And being on a visa he is a visitor rather than a migrant.

Should he migrate to Britain and become a Subject of Her Majesty, I feel sure he would be welcome.
