Sexual 1: less rules oriented; more JUSTICE oriented, 8-ish, but with stronger emphasis on values, heroic
Social 2: the least manipulative 2 with a stronger presence, more dignified
Sexual 3: more 7-ish, flirtier, less dry
Sexual 4: dramatic, feisty, less whiny than Social 4, less martyr-y than Self Preservation 4
Sexual 5: more romantic, more balanced, actually seem like they possess genitalia
Self Preservation 6: they're so cute and cuddly (Sexual 6 is overrated)
Self Preservation 7: ruthless, cunning, ambitious, more focused and disciplined than other 7s
Self Preservation 8: self controlled, sinister, combines the best of gut and head centers
Sexual 9: soothing, nurturing, dreamy

Sx-last always strike me as the most interesting and relatable, there's a sort of mystery... I think the idea of 4w5 sp/so, 4w3 so/sp, 5w4 sp/sx and 9w1 sp/so is very fascinating. Other than that I don't have much experience with people so I am not the one to foolishly judge by pseudoscience typology.

Type 1:
favorite is SP- they seem more self-controlling than they are controlling of others
least favorite is SO- They seem most likely to control others and insist on the right way of doing things. Their 'activism' can be too much.

Type 2:
no preference

Type 3:
Favorite is SP- they seem the least stereotypical of the threes. Success is more about attaining security rather than trying to be top dog.
Least favorite is SO- They seem most hell-bent on success as defined in the conventional sense. Seem most inclined to give up their authenticity or manipulate others to climb up the ladder.

Type 4:
no preference

Type 5:
No preference. By definition, a 5 of any subtype is cool.

Type 6:
Favorite: Sexual because they seem the least stereotypical of the type 6, less phobic looking

Type 7:
Favorite: Social- they seem more reliable than the other subtypes but still fun loving

Type 8:
Favorite: Social- Seem less overtly aggressive, stand up for causes and peoples' rights
Least favorite: Self-pres- they are in it for themselves, they can get really angry if you cross their boundaries

Type 9:
No preference

The Sexual instinct makes all the types much more interesting IMO, but especially the 1, 3, 4, 5, and 8.

If I had to go by lame profile descriptions of each subtypes, I tend to have affinities for the following:

• sx1 : I like the fire, pursuit of justice, and counter-1 1ness to this subtype
• soc2 : The power-wielder who nicely gets whatever he/she wants; Glorious Leader is all things to all people. Shit, that impresses me.
• sx3 : I feel their pain and anguish, yet so many are truly wonderful people who don't even know about it. Everything I read about sx3s just makes me want to hug them.
• sp4 : They endure all suffering without wincing, instead using it to bring greater beauty into this world.
• soc5 : For the same reasons I like soc2 descriptions--they watch humanity, they know the ins-and-outs, and they seek the ultimate meaning in human affairs and life.
• sx6 : Well, because I typed as a sx6 for so long
• sx7 : Heightened imagination, ethereal dreams, and fascination with literally everything
• soc8 : They're friendly and they protect people.
• sx9 : I appreciate the whole "union with the cosmos" thing.

Admittedly, these are often the variations of each type I "most identify" with. So maybe this is just more narcissism. It's also based largely on what I read in Chestnut's Complete Enneagram, for reference.

I have some sort of inner reaction against the following:

• soc and sx1 : I dislike people who think there's "one right way" and that they are the sole proprietors of this way. I additionally dislike Naranjo's "conquistador" imagery, since to me the conquistadors were absolutely vile. Likewise to "manifest destiny". One of the larger marrs on humanity's tattered record. I admire the conviction on one hand; on the other it violates my own sense of justice.
• sx2 : Everything I read suggests sx2s are slutty lil man traps who take specific pride in home-wrecking. The sort who take their shirts off and roll around on the table to gain your husband's attention DURING A FORMAL PARTY (yes, I have dealt with a sx2 like this). If I could eliminate ONE of the 27 subtypes, sx2s would be top of the list, thank YOU.
• no particular hatreds, though my one encounter with a social 3 led to years of pain and suffering.
• soc4 : Prolly because I identify so much with it. Everything that's wrong with me.
• not so much the 5s
• soc6 : I roll my eyes at people who need a system to tell them how to live.
• sp7 : Because I'm anti-materialistic, and sp7 descriptions sound like small-minded goons who can't think beyond excessive consumption. People like this are the reason we're killing the earth, yo.
• sp8 : Exactly thing thing I fear and dread most in others--exploitative assholes who'll use me for their own selfish purposes; who rob others and use the "jungle" excuse for it; who bully others then put them down when they stand up for themselves. UGH UGH UGH. HAAAATE. They're number two on the list.
• not so much against 9s

This, of course, is all based on stereotypes, not any actual individuals who are far more complex than anything encapsulated in subtype descriptions.
