Velcro Wallets... Nerdy?

I'm just wondering if Velcro wallets are really considered nerdy or not.

I've gotten comments before. I had one Velcro wallet for 14 years. Someone said I should get an adult wallet, and a few others thought it was funny that I had a Velcro wallet. When I had to buy a new one because the old one was falling apart, of course I went for another Velcro wallet.

I really don't see why leather wallets would be superior, and I don't plan on changing, but I'm just curious.

Do people honestly think it's nerdy? Do you prefer leather for some reason? Do you prefer Velcro?

Personally, I like light-weight Velcro wallets, and I try to keep it as empty as possible.

Well, velcro anything is generally considered nerdy. Velcro tennis shoes, anyone? But velcro wallets can also be considered retro nerd-cool, like calculator watches or lunch boxes.

Some day, I'll reclaim the little mustache from Hitler and let it become popular again. He can't own that shit.
