Figured that since everyone else is doing it...
Ok, here is the rundown of this guy I know:
-Knows a million people, and calls them all his friend. People he's met once or twice will be welcomed month long guests in his home.
-People get attached to him very quickly, and he is very flattering (ie - gives out nicknames to everyone he meets, exaggerates their talents...)
-Is very intelligent, but stagnant - has not sincerely worked in years, as he's a "starving artist" which means he can live off of other people with no guilty conscience.
-Along those lines, always finds some girl willing to take him in and support him.
-Is very emotional, cries more than anyone I know. He cries if someone else is going through a tough time and tells him about it.
-He played a very intense sport for a very popular team, but had to quit due to debilitating panic attacks. He still loves the sport and refers to it constantly.
-He falls in love very easily. Very easily.
-He falls mostly for "broken" people or anyone with a sob story. He loves single young mothers and ex-strippers or ex-porn stars the most. (not that being a single mother is broken, by any means!! but he has a soft spot for 19 year old girls with 3 kids)
-He always says that he doesn't want a girlfriend, but is never single (he has never been single for one day in 20 years - there is always someone lined up to be his GF). It doesn't matter how much he loves a woman, he'll find any flaw to harp on and say that he could never settle with her for that reason, even if he knew the reason prior to getting involved (latest reason was her ass wasn't perfect). However, he makes no effort to break up with them. And when break ups do happen, he remains very close with them and is still in love with all of them.
-On the flip side, even though he doesn't want a gf, he'll stay with anyone no matter what they do. One girl gave him an STD (twice) and he just kept with her until she broke up with him.
-He's great at math and geometery, but has a hard time with 3 dimensional principles (physics).
-Great at what he does, by default, but has no technical knowledge on how to recreate what he did. (Like he takes amazing photos, but couldn't tell you why he used an aperture setting at that specific ISO)
-He cares about politics to the point where there is constantly a news channel on in his presence. He can talk about any issue, but soon blows it up to a personal attack. If you disagree with him, no matter what the reason, he takes it personally and his temper flares. He has a ridiculous temper - can lash out with the meanest things to possibly say. Then when all is over, he'll cry about what a monster he was and beg for forgiveness.
-Is constantly talking. You can't sit through a 30 second commercial without him commenting on it. He is constantly talking...
-Draws insane parallels to what ever you say. For instance, if I say that I think child molesters should be arrested, he'll find a way to say "That's like saying that all dogs should be arrested because it's in their nature to rape" or something like that. He will never speak on the issue at hand and will always compare it to something else, and then you are forced to defend against that position, as well.
-In telling stories, he often interrupts himself with examples before he even makes his point ("I don't understand why you would say - for example, my friend Alison does it and has never had a problem, my grandfather lived to 89 and he did it - so I just don't understand why smoking is bad for you")
-Along the same line, he'll find an exception for everything. If you say that someone will die if they jump off an 87 story building, he'll find a way to say that someone survived it. No matter what the situation is, he refuses to agree with you or concede any point because there is a +/- .0001% chance that I could be wrong.
-Can never make up his mind about anything. He'll change his shoes about 12 times before leaving the house. He struggles daily with decision making.
EDIT: Also, at least 3 different women have told me that he cries during sex sometimes because he doesn't understand why we have to succumb to animal instincts.
