At a time when science is making almost unimaginable strides, superstitions and cults remain popular.

And its not that people don't know about evolution and the genome, or astronomy and the universe, it's that they choose to practise something that is impoverished, cheap and nasty.

It's as though they have a taste for the cheap and nasty.

And they choose what tastes good to them.
