My mother would always wake me up in the morning in a very happy joyous way and as a result I would and still do always wake up in a happy mood, so I am paying it forward with my daughter.
My mother used to wake me up by saying, It's good morning time, very happily and gently. She would always be in a happy mood in the morning. I associated mornings to be happy events. I don't think I have ever woken up in a bad mood, if I have I am sure it could be counted on one hand.
I am applying the principle to my daughter only changing it to fit me and be something more of my own with her. I sing Good Morning, Good Morning, Good Morning Fuzzy Lumpkins- as that is my nickname for her in a really happy and cheerful tone and she always wakes up smiling and starts the day in a great mood.
My mother taught me that how you start your day sets the tone for all of the rest of the day, and I know it is true for me.
I am really thankful to my mother for doing that for me because even now I look forward to mornings and they are warm fuzzy events for me.
Even hubby and I say Good Morning Time sweetly to each other and we still carry on the tradition of waking even each other up that way- and it makes for such powerful positive tones for the rest of the day.
I am just in warm fuzzy mode right now
