I have been on this web site too much lately because I am supposed to be completing FOUR papers which are due within the next few weeks. Horribly, I have suddenly be struck down with ADD or writer's block or just being burnt out from school, so I go to turn my computer on to work on my papers, and end up fucking around instead. I am in my fourth year of college and it's never been this extreme before - the feeling of wanting to escape my school work. I am determined to get my degree, but I feel like I need a break. I really do not want to be writing papers at the moment, and it seems like the longer I sit at my computer the more frustrated I am with myself for not finishing the assignments. I'm actually a very good student. This is weird for me, but it's kind of overwhelming at the moment.

Four papers?

I always feel like I have a sudden case of ADD as a deadline approaches too. It usually ends ugly with me staying up until 4am for a few nights. I'm slowly getting better at managing deadlines though.

I am doing this exact same thing right now. So this was in 2009; how did things go? What degree did you get? I'm doing philosophy and trying to write a paper defending anarchism for my Foundations of Democracy class. I'm guessing you are maybe a little older than me, early 30's. You don't have to tell me, but I'm curious.
