Its really telling how they bury the lead alright, but sure, demons, why not, funny how they arent demons when a cis het white christofacist does it. weird. If Jesus himself came back and told them to pass common sense red flag and gun laws, they'd try to crucify him all over again.

Many are saying that this is the moment when DeSantis lost the primary race. So if the party doesn't remove Trump that could easily be the case. Since even before this he was around 50% of the vote and partisan backlash is certain to happen over this. What means that it is basically on Arizona, Georgia and Wisconsin to decide what happens in the General election.

Posted by my friend Violet Gray:

Today is trans day of visibility.

I almost never make a post about this because I feel like there are tons of other people who say the things that need to be said already, more eloquently and with more passion than I could muster. But this time around I feel it necessary to point something out :

There is no such thing as "trans ideology."

You hear conservatives and terfs talk about trans ideology but you don't hear trans activists, or trans people in general ever talk about trans ideology. You know why?

It's because the term is a substitute for transgender people. They understand how "I'm against transgender people" sounds.

It's not an "ideology" to want the same rights and respect as everyone else, or to assert your own existence. It's just a basic human need.

Not long ago, a young trans woman named Eden Knight was brought back to Saudi Arabia from the states and forcibly detransitioned by her wealthy family. Later in her suicide note she wrote about how she tried her absolute best to live up to their expectations but that ultimately it was too much for her and she had to end it.

When a member of the largest conservative internet publication goes to CPAC and speaks in front of the Republican establishment about how they need to "eradicate transgenderism" this is what that looks like.

For some people it is a literal matter of life and death and it's not an "ideology" that we end up having a funeral for.

Republicans distancing themselves from Trump, especially now, would indirectly validate all the character claims Democrats have been making against Trump for years now.

The Republican establishment hated Trump just as much as anyone else before they realized A) the way he galvanized the base, and B) how much the other side really detests him.

Disavowing Trump now is like admitting you were wrong, plus it would require them to occupy a shared reality with Democrats and they're way too contrarian for that.

It is 19 months to 2024 vote and things are already getting crazy and unpredictable off the scale. This is really going to be a show in full extent of the word.

Actually plenty depends on how exactly the case(s) will end. However if there is a flop in proving the charges and he is released all of this will surely and heavily backfire in polling stations. The Dems are risking here much more than some people realize. Especially since all of this probably solved the issue of Republican primary.

They don't need some grand landslide in 2024, plus lean D states are back-ups.
As I said: this is totally doable on new map if we observe from Republican side (especially against people like mayor Pete).

So if the charges fail or they have mild watered down effects the Dems are totally over their heads given their likely candidates and state of economy.
