I guess that this makes the state genuine Safe D if the decision will stand. What leaves some money for something else on the map.
The real question is what will happen if more states do something like this.

This doesn't really solve anything. People can just write him in. That's always an option. I can write my cat in if I want to.

Right-wing media can just push out the message for people to write him in as a candidate.

Are you sure? That would sort of defeat the purpose of such a ban. But a quick online search suggests in Colorado a write-in candidate has to hand in an affidavit declaring their intention to run for an office and they have to be considered qualified. Or does this only apply to state elections? If I understood the court verdict correctly they explicitely declared him unfit for office.

I'm not sure, actually. I did do a little bit of reading after I posted this, and it may not be the same everywhere. Perhaps I am mistaken.

Stay tuned. I think it will happen more and more places. The adults in the republican party seem pretty done with him.

they would never. Everyone in a position to be paid to make a recomendation people would look to, has advertising masters that tell them what to say, and advertisers are done with donaldo what he represents is too bad for business.

The Biden Administration Is Quietly Shifting Its Strategy in Ukraine

Kinda expected, 2024 is election year in US, EU and UK. Plus Ukraine controls about 83% of it's territory and that will have to do (for now at least). If we consider that Ukraine should have disappeared from the map in 10 days this is actually very good score when we consider the bigger picture. As I said I doubt that Ukraine will get everything back, especially the areas that Russia took 10 years ago. However as I also said there is still a few corners next to the front lines that would perhaps be worth taking back before this is over. Bakhmut, one big oil refinery that is just few miles behind the lines, some mines, etc.

The new iron curtain in Europe is basically defined. Now we just have to see where exactly it will stand within Ukraine. Since that is undefined part. Everything else is basically settled for the most part.

What is victory for Joe Biden in New Hampshire?

This is textbook example of "play stupid games and win stupid prizes".
This is why I say we just need to hold primaries all in the same day. You'll notice they talk earlier about South Carolina and New Hampshire battling out for who is first. The Democratic establishment picked South Carolina as the first primary just because it was the first state Joe Biden won. They were hoping to hold off any upset candidates going forward, so they moved SC up on the calendar. I'm sure there's some official explanation about how it's a more representative state but I don't believe for the second that's the real reason.

I would prefer to just do away with the whole thing and bogus arguments about which states are more representative. They should hold everything on the same day. I'm not sure if my candidates would benefit or not, but it seems like both the right and sensible thing to do.

Would it be that terrible to add in some actual democratic decision-making into the primary process?

As I said campaigning in US is way too long. Back in a day when you had to travel across the huge country on a horse or with a train all of this made sense. While in the era of mass media this is all just waste of time and drama maker, especially since you have only two parties. So you don't really need some extra special introductions over and over again. 2 months for the primaries and then election day for the primaries. While it should be the same for general election. The whole thing should be between January and May. So that you have transition of power in June, then Summer brake and then in September you would basically have a clean start. That is how I would do it.
