This sounds like some libertarian free market think tank garbage.I saw somebody on FB compare Biden's policy towards China as fascism; saying that his attitude towards China equivalent of the "stab in the back myth" used against the Jews by the Nazis. It was such a weird analogy. Later, the post went on to decry protectionism in favor of free trade. Every time I see a post like this, I wonder why they are invested in defending free trade.
When I see a post like that against protectionism and in favor of free trade, I want an explanation of why they like free trade so much. The only thing I've been able to get is that it keeps goods cheaper for consumers. But what does it do for American workers? Can someone answer this question for me? How does free trade benefit American workers? What good are cheap consumer goods if people don't have the money to afford them?
I mean protectionism is now something that is bipartisan, IMO it's about time people stop worshipping at the altar of free trade. Can they not see how these policies have destabilized society all so some people can get really rich and the rest of us can get some cheap crap from overseas? I think there is a big difference between wanting WWIII with China and thinking outsourcing everything is a terrible idea.
I'm convinced he's going to continue "campaigning" simply to shit talk and yell at Trump. But the GOP is starting to what the Dems have done forever - recycle loser candidates.Chris Christie's star could be on the rise. But just because he's failing now, doesnt mean Moff Tankin wont fail upwards, stranger things have happened in the last eight years. America loves a manufactured underdog after all. All part of the program I reckon.
