People are not going to create feelings of security and love for their infants, let alone other infants, if they themselves have no love or security. When you know you are one emergency or illness away from financial ruin or have to decide between meds or rent.... this is the kind of results you get.I seriously hope I'm wrong about Pence being positioned to gain support and nomination. I hope we get a decent president, but on some level I feel a loss of hope in humanity that so many people are low-level enough to want someone like Trump. It feels like it might not be possible to get a "best" person into the presidency, but to try to figure out someone people will want from the context of their distorted brains. I wish i could have more faith in people like the guy in that video.
I grew up in the "wild west" area that was in a state that supported Trump more than any other. Culturally the people are very bullying towards their infants there. They feel suspicious their babies are manipulating them and so they neglect or punish them to teach them a lesson. That is their "folksy wisdom". I grew up there, although my mother wasn't like that at all. It is basically a Cluster B personality disorder factory. I think there might be a lot of problems in U.S. culture in which people do not create feelings of security and love for their infants and they end up on the continuum that points in the direction of psychopathy - having illusion based realities of high ego: low empathy.
This is also why abortion is such a serious issue on many levels. When it is not allowed, all of those unwanted babies are going to face neglect and abuse and feed into the masses of dysregulated individuals. There needs to be a push for contraceptives to eliminate pregnancy in the first place, and to teach people how to better care for their infant children when they choose to have them.
Abstract: Venezuela provides a strong test case for the weakening of democracy and the strengthening of autocracy promotion. External actors are a key part of the domestic political game: the European Union and the United States (EUUS) promote ‘democracy by coercion’ and recognised Juan Guaidó as president, whereas China, Cuba and Russia (CCR) bolster the regime of Nicolás Maduro. A comparative foreign policy analysis argues that, firstly, EUUS sanctions have resulted in strengthening CCR's autocratic leverage and linkage; and secondly, the division ‘between the West and the Rest’ has posed an additional obstacle for a transition to democracy and national reconstruction.
It was a pleasant surprise.Interesting map of how the house map actually went when compared with expectations.
