I am Putin! (calm ISTP, but nearly all of these were near the 50/50 mark for me.) Also how did it not catch my neuroticism?

To sum up, the descriptions sound nothing like me! Hooray!

Like Che Guevara, you are hypocritical, bloodthirsty and sadistic spontaneous, passionate, and communicative. It is important to you to be true to yourself and to stand up for what you believe in, provoking others out of their bourgeois complacency by tenderly calling out the world's injustices while not-so-tenderly committing some of your own. You are passionate about your cause and can even wax somewhat poetic when speaking of the social change that you long for. However, remember that calling for change is not enough; the mature firebrand also points to practicable ways of implementing it

The result describes me quite well; our "stats" are so close to matching that the two lines on the chart are actually a bit hard to distingush from each other at some points (but I couldn't save it as a picture, alas).

Judging from the chatter in this thread, that website seems to be of ill repute. What's so bad about it (a genuine question, since I'm a bit of a noob at this typing stuff)?

Yep, That comparison has been made before in regards to the big 5 as well. I do think they improved on the original in terms of both the wording & the testing. The big 5 pretty much made it obvious that ENFJ is presented as the one ideal to live up too.

Agreed. Ironically enough, the wording here is better. I'd much rather be "cool-headed" than "egocentric", which makes me sound like an asshole. It doesn't necessarily mean I'm on a quest to become the best damn machines the universe has ever seen.

Carefree vs. Brooding is a measure of neuroticism, with the more brooding sorts being more neurotic.

That's the one item I was not entirely sure how to improve... Its very hard to frame neurotic as a positive, and brooding makes it just as bad. Perhaps they could call the opposite of neurotic oblivious rather then carefree, making both ends of the spectrum kind of equally neutral-negative in flavor.

I disagree. I can see brooding having sort of a "tortured and sophisticated" Byronic appeal to it. There are at least some people out there who look at brooding as deeper and more authentic.

Then again, perhaps I do have a side of me that's a little naive and childlike, so maybe oblivious does fit.

That is true, I didn't think of that. There is also the weird statistic about males with brooding pictures getting more responses on dating websites.... I suppose it does kind of have it's own idolization.

Albert Speer

Like Albert Speer, you are intellectually minded. You see yourself as an observer of events rather than as a partaker in them - as someone who analyzes rather than influences, and thinks rather than does. However, you should remember that your detached analytical stance does not make you an innocent bystander in life and that all that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing. Passivity is also a choice that affects others.

Like Adolf Hitler, you are introverted but nevertheless possess a charisma that is second to none because you are strongly attuned to people. When you put your mind to it, you can charm anyone. You have a dramatic flair and you like testing other people's boundaries to see what will happen. Be careful that you do not end up playing with fire and getting yourself into a dangerous situation which you cannot charm your way out of.

Words of Warning
Points to consider for people with your personality - have you ever:

Disregarded the injunctions of friends and loved ones who tried to advise you against a decision in which they had a stake because you felt they did not see the comprehensive, underlying truth of the problem like you did?

Used your personal magnetism and charm to play favorites among the people in your life, keeping them in a position where each wanted to exceed the other in order to please you?

Trusted in premonitions and compelling mental images in situations where hard numbers might have served you better?

Refused a prudent compromise to the detriment of everyone involved because it went against the gist of your overall vision?

Used your empathic understanding to selectively edit your message and alter your demeanor so that people were led to believe that you were in agreement with them and shared their sentiments when you really didn't?

Scientific Research
According to studies from Cambridge University (UK) and Texas AM University (US), your scores indicate that you are:
More deliberate and thorough in your actions than the average person.
Someone who is more reserved in social situations than the average person.
Someone who has an easier time concentrating for long periods of time than the average person.
Someone who likes to take more time to size people up and get to know them before you open up than the average person.

More preoccupied with the give and take of social relations than the average person; someone who spends much time pondering the impressions that people make on one another and their feelings and views.

Likely to change moods more frequently than the average person and to tense up when subjected to stress.

More alert to threats and stressors in your environment than the average person, knowing that you must take care of yourself to maintain your balance and cool.

Likely to be worse at performing under pressure than the average person, being someone who needs their space in order to operate at their best.

I do try to meet the listener in his own comfort zone, but I don't alter my demeanor.

Before someone waves the narcissist flag: the game of playing favorites does not apply and the give-and-take applies defensively (I'm often afraid that someone may attempt to harm or take advantage of me - as a magnet for those types of people irl, it's not always unwarranted).

I do test in close relationships, but usually out of fear.
