Also why is labeling someone socialist bad? One of the worlds strongest economys(EU) is socialist.
No it is not. The EU economy is a market economy with strong corporatist elements. The main difference between corporatism and socialism is that under the former private property is intact, and wealth is concentrated in private hands. Nationalizations do occur, but they serve the purpose of socialising the losses, while keeping the profits in private hands.
The defining aspect of socialism is that private property is abolished, and that enterprises are not allowed to accumulate profit, but function as non-profit organizations that give everything they do not require for maintanance / investment to the state /people. Welfare for the rich is not "socialism" either, it is simply capitalists using the power their wealth has granted them to further enrich themselves. People seem to often forget that money buys power, and that therefor the freedom to accumulate as much money / property as possible and the idea of democracy are fundamentally incompatible.
