What are you talking about?
I don't fantasize about traits I wish I had so I don't really seek them out in other people. I can appreciate people who have traits or skills that I lack, but that's never the focus, just a byproduct. Sometimes I think it would be cool to meet an opposite gender version of me, but that would be someone who shares all the traits with me. But the world would not idly endure such a pairing.

I think it's a combination of traits I already have combined with traits I don't have, if I'm being honest. I think I met an opposite gender version of myself at least once. I would have liked to have explored where that would go. Would it really become as boring as is commonly supposed? The presence of different traits does seem to make things more thrilling and exciting.

I dont think it would be boring. Its nice to be with someone who understands you because youre so much alike.

I used to think intellectual compatibility was really important. Now, I think emotional compatibility is maybe the most important. Unfortunately, I think that's even harder to find.

That is a big reason why hookup culture/hookup dating will never work long term.

Hookup dating is for the phycological Mature. It requires some confidence and a lot of honesty. for it to be successful you have to get real and shear your intimacy openly with good nature.
*whiny voice* But I don't wanna share my intimacy openly!
