Today, is a day when I pretend I'm not an introvert to my own peril.

I'm looking forward to going to the Obama event, but I know if I am not careful I will be a mess this evening or all weekend from exhaustion.

I have to do some cleaning, run some errands, pick the kids up from school, meet my friend halfway between her town and mine to help conserve her gas, I have to make sure my family has their supper and that the kids are set up with a movie or something to watch while I'm at the event.

The doors open at 6-something PM and the event starts at 8-something PM and my friend has things she wants to do in town afterwards.

I didn't get eight hours sleep last night so I will have to take a nap today, and get something like cleaned up. I'm trying to decide in what order to do all this.

I think I'll clean for about an hour, then nap, then shower, then run errands, then start on the after school stuff.

Fun fun fun.

To do (so I don't forget anything):
  • go to bank
  • mail mortgage payment
  • pay cable bill online
  • mail package
  • mop kitchen
  • clean bathroom
  • straighten living room

Edit: My friend is an extrovert who lives in alone in little town. She has two part time jobs and one of them is a night job, so essentially, she will be raring to go.

I'm in introvert who lives in a mid-sized town with five people and, though I don't have an outside job, I am forced to be primarily a day person because I have to get my kids to school each morning. Normally, I would be starting to wind down at 8PM.

This is another reason I'm so conscious of conserving my energy. I want us both to have a good time. It won't happen if I'm dragging.
