In its rawest form, my intuition sends me signals, which are easily dismissed as paranoia - like a nagging suspicion that there's a bigger picture than what I know, what I can prove, what I can see.

It so often transpires to be right, or relevant, that I should concentrate on recognising this when it happens and trusting it. I think I've become a victim of late of the traditional SJ viewpoint of society and become a little fearful of my intuition, instead seeking something a little more tradition, and I'm losing sight of my inner self.

Hmm, some exercises, maybe.

I so know what you are talking about! I have what I call feelings (=intuition) about people I meet and situations I'm in. I have sometimes VERY strong intuiton about some things so strong that I get physical symptoms from it. I'm very bad in listening to my feelings and acting based on them because I don't trust the feelings. The feelings have proven to be right many times but still I don't trust them.

When you figure out a good way to listen to the intuition better tell me about it. :)

I think it's about recognising you are different from what tradition expects of most adults. So that when people grounded in a world of facts say : "prove it", it's ok to say -and recognise in yourself- that it's just something you know - you aren't certain, but your instincts tell you it is right. People will come to respect these hunches.... as guesses well worth listening to.

Hmm. I feel better today, though, about my intuition :D

Today we got a restaurant recommendation from a business owner in a town we were visiting. As we walked past nice shops and cafes, I said to my husband "I hope it's not a greasy spoon." Sure enough, we walked into a narrow restaurant where everything on the menu was fried, greasy, meaty, cheesy and served with Wonder bread toast.

I don't know where the intuition came from that we'd find such a place among all the other trendy ones. It might have had to do with the no-nonsense coffee roaster who recommended it and the kind of place he might frequent. When this kind of thing happens, I'm amazed, but by now I shouldn't be.

most people reject their intuition thinking its crap. that being said N types are not the only types that have intuition. N types are the ones which listens to it.(but i guess you and every1 else in this thread new that. lol)
and I've noticed that the more you ACT on your intuition the more intuitive answers you get.

thanks to you i remembered abt intuition. and talking abt it makes me wanna try it out more.
