ESFPs have all of the worst trappings of the GtG interaction style, while ESTPs don't (they're In Charge.) That is, ESFPs can be manic, hyper, always flitting to-and-fro, and can seem like they have a need to constantly be moving around and socializing. ESTPs are, I think, more calm (which is probably what makes the worst of them more insidious and dangerous.)
While ESTPs can certainly be silly, sociable and exuberant, they don't have quite that ESFP level of hyperactivity - they're cool-headed.
I think ESTPs have a slightly harder edge; a directness. They're blunt, or more generally, straight-talking and seem more inclined to share an opinion, whereas the ESFPs seem more circumspect about asserting their views.
Hmmm, I suppose it happens occasionally, but I can't think of many times where I've seen a ESFP put their foot down. Usually it's after they've been pushed pretty far. I do think ESFPs can be quite stubborn at times.ESFP is bossier than ESTP because ESFP has Fi where they have a rigid sense of values and Te where they will ruthlessly enforce those values on other people.
Yes, but I have known ESTPs to be quite forceful too, however, I don't think they always know when they're doing it. It also seems that they aren't doing it to subdue people (like EXTJs) but instead get them on side - which, when taken to a negative extreme, becomes manipulative.ESTP has Ti where they will analyze in a cool and calculating manner and Fe where they will charm others and display their emotions in an open manner.
Yes, I would generally agree with that.ESTP also is more of a rebel and goes against the social norms whereas ESFP will do what is popular and what group values society expects making ESTP the fun one.

EDIT: Speed, I'm sorry but a lot of those typings just seem plain wrong to me.![]()
Fair enough. I will submit to your greater knowledge of the details of the type.ESTPs are NOT less hyperactive than ESFPs. ESTPs are hyperactive and cool-headed, ESFPs are hyperactive and silly.
Basically what I said...No. It's just that ESTPs assert their logical views, while ESFPs assert their emotinal views. Making the ESTPs a more harsh with hard edge, more offending. ESFPs don't use logic to be offending and logically critical. But ESFPs know how to be assertive and bossy.
Most are corrects. If not every. It's just that you are not tha good at typing, so you don't realize it.

The power of your logical reasoning overwhelms me. What on earth was I thinking?

you forgot Tina Turner. ESFP 8w9 Sx/So
True, for the sake of brevity I did not go into mind-numbing detail when I expressed my difference in opinion (please forgive me, almighty god of Ti and all things nit-picky). And instead of asking for further details or engaging in a friendly debate, you shut down any chance of discussion and went straight for personal insults. The power of your reasoning is overhelming too since you showed nothing to prove your views.![]()

I really can't bothered with that sort of immaturity frankly.

Yes, with the “people vs task†difference between the Styles, the “ChlorSan†will have more of a “don't call me; I'll call you†mindset (despite appearing to be very personable), where the pure Sanguine ESFP will be more approachable.ESFPs have all of the worst trappings of the GtG interaction style, while ESTPs don't (they're In Charge.)
