I take MBTI as seriously as I take exorcisms

Oh well I can see I wasn't invited to the reception.![]()
You weren't born yet
lol I can't think of a witty response because it's so true.
waitreally
Weeelll... not quite. But if the birthdate on your profile is true, then we have six years between us. In human years that's not much, but if chicken years are like dog years it's like half a lifetime....???![]()
How seriously do you take mbti, and why? Do you think it has any use, or is it just a fun theory?
Mbti entrances most of us here. It makes us feel good, it makes us feel in control, it makes us feel we belong. And this is what a good trance does: it puts the critical mind to sleep and makes us feel good. And it meets our deepest need, the need for meaning.
We are after all meaning creating animals. Unlike most animals, instinct operates at a low level in us, while meaning can and does often override instinct. And we often, usually, act on meaning. Without meaning we are lost, and indeed we become depressed, so we prefer any meaning to no meaning.
And this is our tragedy: we prefer any meaning to no meaning, we prefer a meaning with no connection to reality, we prefer a meaning with its own immoral agenda.
Your poetic writing amuses me. I'm kinda curious about this "immoral agenda".
