Long story short I'm thinking of possibly switching to another childcare location. As I might want to work with infants/eventually be a head teacher in a daycare with infants (newborn-12months).
After the program. I'd be able to go for certification specializing in either infants/toddlers or pre-school age I believe.
Well right now I'm thinking to call these two locations the last two weeks of july telling of my working with kids for the past year and if I put my resume/a application in would they allow me to work with the infants? (train me of their procedures even prior to finishing the program).
It would be good for me if so as i'd get the experience of actually dealing with infants *outside of my own neices/nephew hehe*.
See where that takes me. Then because of the timing I could give my notice as summer camp is ending so it would be made aware well ahead of time before the before and afterschool program starting again.
It would be the least inconvenient for my boss and just a smoother transition if it can be made.
I need something that is FT and at one location too. I wouldn't get (FT) benefits otherwise. I actually like where I'm working now but if I will be getting an apt in a couple years or so. I got to think of these things.
But I think I'd be happier working one location. Afterall this maybe I could work a early shift such as 6am-3pm. I'd like that better I think then getting home at 6ish. Though I'm sure there would be days where even then if they need someone i'd work to six. Hey that's all good I suppose, any extra would help. Well whatever happens, happens. I got as general plan.
There is an ASL intro class through the community education center and I think I'm going to keep it in my mind as to be able to take it. It begins in two days for the spring session. I'm almost tempted to atleast call and see if they are still enrolling people in it. It's be a good thing for there as I notice at these two daycares it's of common use apparently to use ASL with them. Hmm... either now or when they have the class in the summer brocure.
Just going to sit on that ASL thought for now. Putting that on the backburner. Can't afford it at the moment. Going to let my purty brown hair come back to. I can't afford to keep it up at the moment.
Especially with a possible ball baring being the culprit of my car problems/steering wheel seems alittle lose too
. Car is just a barrel of monkeys. I'm going to keep my eyes open for the summer programs in june/july/august for the ASL class and I'll see then. I might just wait anyhow for that. Kind of frustrated heh... I really felt good with my hair color XD. Silly isn't it?
That's the rough draft for now heh. Needed to air it out
