Hi, I want to know the name of a song that I remember hearing on the radio a few times.

I will try describe the song and its contents, so that maybe someone can help me out.

The song is sung by a male artist, its kindof like a morose sad love type song, although its more about desire in general.

I've spent a lot of time trying to google some of the lyrics, so I think that I might have it really wrong... but here it goes...

The song keeps making the point that you only care about things at the time when they are needed, otherwise they are forgotten, or they aren't missed.

There is something in the song about a candle that's needed when its dark (or to read?), and a umbrella that you only think about after its already raining...?

In this way, the song makes a strong point about attachments to this world, and the folly of certain kinds of relationships people have... I remember this song being played on the radio quite a bit over the last 3 or 2 years...

Can anyone help me
