It looks like they filtered the images/caricatures through some kind of pixelation feature. It's been years since I used photoshop so I'm not sure what the correct terminology for that effect would be...when pixels are combined to create that blockier, kaleidoscope-ish effect. either way, still more expressive than the real Kristen Stewart.
