It saddens me that we lost the chance to really see our native spiritualism develop naturally.
If you look at all the spiritual treasures Hinduism for example has to offer, you have to wonder what our equivalents of the tantric, yogic, ayurvedic etc etc discplines wouldve been like.
The druidic teachings alone are beyond real hope and even their mythology can no linger be seperated from christianity.
Granted, that hybrid in its ow right has become a unique and worthy tradition, and in that,'something beautiful definitely came out of this tragedy.
The Norse tradition has the most to offer still, it was certainly tainted by the time in which those sources were recorded and the germanic sources are far less extensive still.
Even if we manage to somehow reconstruct some of it and eventually get back on track, it will still be an enormous void/loss, imho.
