Ever since I can remember, I had experienced life through a fog. The edges of my senses were tinged with a static that found its resolution in the future of things. Enthralled in this dense sense of fate, I was free to decide in the present about forging myself a future. I can’t remember hearing the words, but I remember the questions and answers given… I remember bargaining for my talents. I had to be a thinker; one has to plot the solutions this world needs. Do I want a complete command of my thoughts or boundless range of creativity no conscious net could ensnare? And so I chose the advisers disposition, well no real loss: the advisers are the new chieftains, in this world where consent is king.
