Do you feel like INTJ's see through you?

So like the type descriptions always say that people feel like INTJ's can see through them.
Is that how you feel in the presence of an INTJ?

nah , intj's vision is very limited and hard to change i guess they are the most emotional of the NT , I love their emotional side tho ... my father is an Intj and their emotional side is very strong .
They are good to solve problem but micro-problems they suffer alot.

Mmm yes and no. Yes, because the INTJs I’ve known (actually this applies to the few INFJs I’ve known too), tend to physically see, or take note of behavioral shifts in me or differences in other external things I may do, that may feel “off” to them, and have times presented these observations to me in a simple question of, “Are you ok?”. It’s almost always something direct and simple like that, and often times, they’re right. To what degree I may be feeling off, is wildly varied though. Sometimes I may temporarily be bothered, other times I may be fuming. Thing is, I rarely verbalize what I’m feeling to others, but I suppose I DO change how I carry myself or act, and even though I may assume I am acting no differently, they have been able to read these outward micro expressions, that I am usually oblivious I am giving off.

Now, why I also say no, though, is I tend to describe and explain things a certain way, and, I think it’s perhaps a dom/aux Te thing but I will attempt to explain something in a way I feel I am being very obvious and blatant, but those words are many times met with responses that cue me to further explain myself in alternate ways than I would by default. And I suspect, speculating here, that the very same sorts of reasons they are perceptive in picking up my external tells, is the reason my words may fall on deaf ears to them, and that’s because I tend to change up the words and give alternate definitions to words, dependent on the context I provide those words in. I don’t do this to try and confuse, but it’s how I think, with language having this ease and fluidity to it. For example, I’ve caught myself doing this on more than one occasion, but I’ve literally used the same word in situations, multiple times, with different definitions being applied to those same words. It wasn’t at all confusing to me, but I caught myself only because the expression on the other person’s face told it all. Again, this has happened on multiple occasions haha. But, ya I wouldn’t specify this to my interactions with INTJs, but I feel a higher Te was involved within the other party.

Occasionally. Have got that from an ENTJ 1, an XNTJ 1 and an INTJ 3w4 or 1w9. Something about a natural cynicism about people's motivations that produced the effect I think. ESTJs could share the attitude but without the affect.

They seem to come up with their own meanings of what I am, sometimes the insights are good, sometimes they're way off base, it's about 50/50 and depends on the INTJ. They're usually very observant if they're interested in you, but it seems to be because they want to gauge whether you'd fit into their long-term planning.

I think seeing through people is one of most INTJ's biggest fantasies, goals, and often personal delusions. They have the ego to convince themselves they can, and take their impressions of people (however wrong) to the bank and lock it away there forever- but unlike a Ni/Fe user, like an INFJ or an ENFJ, Te is just too ill equipped to read and manipulate people to the degree they wish. As soon as they throw an assumption at you that's obviously way off, or worse if they cling to it despite correction, it's easy to dismiss them as crazy which ultimately evaporates any manipulative power they might have had. A good Fe user will pave over the error with charm, pivot, and come back with something better.

Yeah I don't know how anyone could take that away, even the most novice reading the most basic description of INTJ's. Some might have a fantasy of this ability but that's pretty delusional in any type. Fake it until you make it is an acceptable strategy but it's not honest. And you have the others that can't even have a conversation on the topic of INTJ's without making sure to attack INTJ ego and Te shortcomings. Not that INTP's suck any less in the people department or anything but they can't bear to think of themselves as common and insist they are the most misunderstood of the bunch.

Some INTJ’s think NFPs (I’s in particular) are incompetent and irresponsible morons who choose useless career paths. I tend to not put stock in any of their statements or queries.

Well developped INTJ's that have found ways to allow their inferior function to supplement their ideas at the cost of Ni, fully realizing the fallability of Ni being prone to heavy subjectivity, can in theory develop a very accurate sense of peoples psyches through reading body language, quirks, tones and other subtle presentations. By allowing themselves to withhold their instinctual gut instincts (Ni) and firsttry to analyze the variables, before unleashing Ni.

More often than not though, this is not the case. Ni is the INTJ's baby and it is hard to sometimes allow themselves to distance themselves from it for any period of time (and they shouldn't do that too much anyhow, as that would be stressful, since it ireally sn't easy to reconstruct Ni values once formed.)

More likely they will end up over-simplifying Se inputs and make hasty judgements, which could still be quite accurate, but are likely to only paint a part of the picture, and in some cases might be completely off point as well. Especially if they project their own sense of values onto other people.



But hmm, isn't that sorta true for all types? Essentially what I've said is that every type has potential to understand others on a deep level if they allow themselves to base their judgements not solely on their dominant and auxilliary functions, but try to understand and integrate all or most other functions into their judgements.

I would say that they usually seem quite intelligent but the subjective interpretation of human nature seems puzzling to many of them.

Like I literally explained to my INTJ friend how something really bugged me several times, calmly and in several different ways but it didn't truly click until it looked like I was going to tear up and I spelled everything out for him. Definitely a nice individual but people aren't his strong suit. He considers me his "voice of reason" for interpersonal situations.


I am sure there are some that are more adept of course.

As dom Ni user INTJs are for sure good psychologist, they can manipulate people well but they are much more better in organizing ideas then people.
Main reason is because they approach problem in scientific level rather then in personal level.

I feel like one of the indications of interaction with an INTJ for me isn't being 'seen though', but being subtlety positioned. I'll find myself feeling like somebody is attempting to wrangle me into a specific place, for reasons that are seemingly impersonal and often very obscure to me.
