The kids and Don liked their Easter treats. But I made an unhappy discovery: I accidentally got white chocolate Reece's eggs. I'll get the regular chocolate ones next time I'm at the store. The white chocolate ones just aren't the same.

We went to Denny's this morning like we planned and it was nice. The coffee was nasty, but the food was yummy and there weren't any catastrophes.

Took and afternoon nap, but did not feel rested when I got up. I was hungry and cranky and the kids were hounding me about dying eggs. I ate and we got through doing the eggs, but I still feel so cranky. I took Advil and daytime allergy medicine and it hasn't helped. I think I even feel worse.

Usually if I get evil for no apparent reason it's because of some low-grade physical discomfort that is just bad enough to register in the back of my mind. The kids seem so loud! It feels like my ears are going to burst or something.

Spring (and pollen) is in the air, I guess. Hopefully if I eat something and go to bed, I'll be human again in the morning.

I'll take IHOP over Denny's anyday of the week, nothing like eating breakfast in the afternoon, or at 8:30 on a rainy night, just because it gives you that Film Noir feeling...

Bah, I said to much, (not like it stops me any other day but still...) hope you feel better in the morning.

S_H, you are welcome to comment. If I minded, I would have made this private.

Last time we took the whole crew to IHOP it was so crowded. Total nightmare. That's been years ago and we still haven't gone back. I keep thinking of it as crowded and expensive compared to Denny's. I should probably give it another go when I don't have the kids with me and see what I think.

There are two Denny's here and one of them is pretty awful, but the other isn't too bad. I noticed that some of the staff have been there for quite awhile, so maybe that one doesn't have horrible management.

The Film Noir thing is cool. It reminds me of one of the VeggieTales episodes where Larry the Cucumber is drowning his sorrows at an ice cream parlor on a rainy night. *grin* (danged image restrictions!)

My girls want to know who that is in your avatar, BTW.

Jen, here's hoping we both have a better day tomorrow.

It's Gohan from Dragon Ball ..............................>
I live right next to an IHOP and I go during the most isolated times, try going by yourself around 1pm, and ask for a corner seat by a window.

I used to veg out to Veggietales when I was younger, in fact yesturday I couldn't get the theme song out of my head. Haven't seen it in a while.

Ah. I will tell them. And I will check out IHOP in the next couple of weeks.

I have a big box full of mostly Veggietales VHS tapes. Don and I love them or we love the old ones when the company was still run by Phil Vischer. I think I still have The Grapes of Wrath song memorized. Now the songs completely suck.

The blueberry blintzes at IHOPS are out of this world! Ever see the scene in Defending your Life where all the food in their transitional place after death is the most amazing food ever? Well that's kind of how I feel about IHOPS blueberry blintzes.

So Veggietales now is sort of like when Steve left Blues Clues, or Spongebob after 2002?
