If there was such a thing, Guterres should be impeached over his bending the knee to war monger Putin and his Brics cronies. He should certainly be turfed out of his Secretary-General position. He's probably the worst to ever serve and there's been a few losers in that chair over the years. The UN's already dismal reputation sinks ever lower under this clown's guidance.

Far-right ‘Venezuela majority’ signals new power balance in European Parliament

2024 European election results

It seems that EU elections didn't really end as it was interpreted in the media. The wider center was considered to have won (light red, yellow, light blue). However the forces on the right part of the spectrum also have a potential majority (light blue, dark blue, black and some of the gray). What means that the light blue is in dominant position since it sits on two "chairs" (that is center right EPP from article).

Another part of the picture is that governments in the EU member states are increasingly on the right wing part of the spectrum (due to current mess on the global level). However these governments are the ones that are sending their candidates to become EU commissioners (which are basically ministers in the EU executive branch of the federal government). Each member state gets to have one commissioner, therefore if the right is taking those governments that means that they will get to nominate the commissioners. What means that it is kinda stupid to have a parliament majority that wouldn't confirm those commissioners. What then means that more right leaning balance has to be found in the EU parliament. What in the end means that the coalition of the center didn't really won last elections for the EU parliament.
