The bohemian is in reaction to the bourgeois. The bohemian is a small ledge of freedom, usually enjoyed by the young, before they are swallowed up by the bourgeois.

Or we might say the bohemian is the freshening edge of bourgeois art and culture.

So at first we dance with empty pockets, then the bourgeoise fill our pockets with silver.

Oh, and I have a trace of Bohemian and Romani ancestry that married into my dad's Cherokee/Mexican lineage long, long ago. I wonder.....haha.
