I thought I would feel like 'enough' when I finished my album, but then I finished it and it wasn't good enough. I was proud of myself that I did it at all, and that I fought the good fight, but the quality and expression couldn't measure up to what I heard in my head. The next one will be closer, I told myself. And this is the cycle with all of my work that I will continue for the rest of my life. The day my work is enough is the day I'll stop working and then I will lay down like Yoda on his death bed, smile, and merge with the cosmos.

When my time comes, if I can lie down and look at my life and think, That was all worth it. I'm glad I was once given the chance to dwell upon this earth...that's when I'll feel like I'm "enough".

That's quite similar to what you said.

Yeah.. in a way, I think feeling like 'enough' is akin to giving up. If we are always striving then we are alive. Am I just too stuck in 4 or is that universal?? :p

That's how I see it, too, Animal. Motion toward something is synonymous with life. I don't want to feel enough; that's an ending.

My ideal, I suppose, is unbreakable integrity no matter what I face, you can see why that's an infinite lifelong process and struggle rather than a linear progression with an "enough" at the end.
