Are Bernie supporters okay with the amount of Dems flipping Republican, or refusing to support Bernie? In states like Florida? I personally do not think Bernie stands a chance in swing states. I myself being in Ohio, and seeing hate for him in Florida too. Penn is up in the air though, but I think I recall something about people switching parties there too. I guess the #walkaway took root more than people expected.

You know, I went canvassing today , and the guy who partnered up with me said that people with Trump signs were easier to talk to than people with Hillary/Kaine signs.

We also saw a building with a Trump flag, and he told me that the owner of the building supports Trump, but everyone who actually lives in it supports Sanders.

I think we even convinced an anarchist to vote.

I'm referring to some other things that you are not, but yes, I get it -- the whole world is fubar. Thanks for the reminder.

It's not just that the rest of the world has similar problems. We are all interconnected. Your decisions on climate action, your economic policies, your foreign policy but also your investment in research & develpment, etc have repercussions around the globe and affect billions of people. And you still have a remaining bit of a role model function, so your democratic institutions going down the drain can easily encourage others to follow suit.

There's a 68% chance this race goes to a brokered convention according to some org called 538. Basically, Bloomberg is splitting the moderate vote and Warren is splitting the socialist vote, so it's unlikely that Bernie or Biden will get to 50% + 1. Several superdelegates have already stated that Bernie should expect a thorough colonscopy if that happens and he should just grin and bear it. This is so much fun. :D

I'm anticipating Sanders' popularity is underestimated and he may do as well as Trump did in the Republican primaries of 2016. I'm not sure you realize how very unpopular Bloomberg is among democrats. Remember, Bloomberg still has zero delegates and I'd be shocked if he did better than third place in total delegates earned on Super Tuesday. Warren will probably get a slight bump from Klobuchar dropping out, despite her endorsement of Biden. I don't think most voters' secondary preferences are based on endorsements anyway.

All of the recent maneuvering of the moderates reeks of desperation.

Polling is interesting and can be useful but it seems to have become increasingly unreliable in the last 5 years

Yes, Red Herring, you are quite right.

Before both of you decided to lecture me, I was talking to someone else about something else.

No lecturing intended. I just got tired of Americans online acting like foreigners shouln't dare talk American politics because it's a purely internal affair - not you specifically though. A bit like fans of Modi thinking any crititical article or statement about India is somehow ilegitimate meddling.

Sorry if you felt lectured.

You saw a Hillary/Kaine sign?

I agree it's much easier to talk to a Trump voter than a Biden or Warren person when canvassing though, it's all the same kind of frustration that many Trump voters have and many Bernie people have.

My best conversations are with a co-worker who supports Trump. They know I don't support Trump but it's nice to hear a perspective from "the enemy". We do at least share a mutual dislike for Bloomberg though.

I spoke with two women in a store, one was for Biden and the other for Trump. I spoke to the Biden woman for over an hour and the Trump woman stewed when we asked her to defend her claims regarding Trump's "accomplishments." There's something wrong when I have to explain to a woman whose husband is in the military that he doesn't give a shit about them, especially when he diminished brain injuries as merely "headaches." I told her to vote for anyone she wanted, but at least vote for someone who didn't make a mockery of her husband's service to the country.

Not to mention casually telling trans military personnel, many of whom have had lifelong military careers, "your service is no longer needed"

Anyone got the current ranking?

I'm already calling Biden and Warren at the top, because they are puppets. Sanders isn't going to get the nomination. He will pass the Baton again, probably to Warren since she didn't have an exploding eyeball lol. Yang memes can only carry him so far. I'm glad Kolbuchar is gaining some attention. I think that was the chick I liked. I didn't watch the "debates" as they are a shitshow normally. I will watch them when its down to 5.

9-15-19

Seems my prediction is still holding strong. If Sanders gets the nomination, the DNC isn't as corrupt as I thought and the Democratic party falls apart. If Biden does though, get ready for chaos in the form of rioting. The Plutocracy just fed the Berniebros a shit sandwich.

I'm not sure they were ever as corrupt as they were plain inept and out of touch.

I love this woman. :D

Wasn't she the woman who got caught handing Hillary Clinton debate questions or something like that?

Anyway, I'm going to a DSA watch party tonight. I figure that's the best way to experience both failure and success. Hopefully success.

Definitely. I haven't found any Trump voter supporting Bloomberg either. In truth, I haven't found anyone that supports Bloomberg.
