One can see from the concepts in his book that Daryl's not very serious.
I went through my gaming period a long time ago. Games are a money-sink anyway. One day, when I am disabled and unemployed, maybe I will return to them. The last game I played for a while was a glitchy but funny game called Fallout: New Vegas.
Ah. Well I would say I see a difference between computer games and warhammer, but in fairness they both come under the overall heading of 'games'.
Incidentally you said you now believe it is better to go off behavior rather than try and understand the confusing nature of cognition for understanding one's type.
If so, I think I would be an NT of some kind because im always trying to acquire capabilities. And as Keirsey says:
The NT is the most self-critical of all the styles. He badgers himself about his errors, taxes himself with the resolve to improve, and ruthlessly monitors his own progress. He continually checks the pulse of his skills and takes his conceptual temperature on the hour every hour. He must master understanding of all objects and events whether human or extrahuman, physical or metaphysical, in whatever domain he states out as his arena or competency.
This actually describes me in a nutshell. Im always pushing to beat back my limits, to acquire specialised abilities, to be an expert on some particular topic or field. At my warhammer club im the one people go to on the rules because I have a very good knowledge of them and usually know how they fit together as well as a knowledge of the FAQ's, Errata's and which rules are contradictory with the current and older army books.
I spent months trying to hone my understanding of the cognitive functions, trying to refine and go over my own definitions as well as those written by Jung and even other people following the same theory. Wittling away at them, turning them round, trying to make them fit or making myself fit and making sure I knew how best to apply them.
At my last workplace I worked out the best position for putaways in the entire shop, I was faster than anyone else and had worked on this to perfection.
Within myself I have a constant drive to understand things, to get to the bottom of the connections.
All these fit within the NT temperament behaviours. However I would not be surprised, (although not certain), that your opinion on this matter is that I could not be anything other than something with an F, perhaps based on my inconsistancies or lack of critical thinking and logic. My occasional use of the word 'values' even.
But that would be an assumption on my part, you could easily read this and formulate your own conclusions and perhaps alter your perspective to suit you. It's generally what most people do on forums/life from time to time, myself included. It could even be that you might see my line of reasoning to be wrong or my understanding to be flawed. Or maybe this will be seen with an emotional charge that I can honestly say it does not possess.
In any case, I would be interested to see what your opinion on this is.
