Hello. I'd love to, but I'm a new user and haven't written many posts here yet, so it might be difficult (if possible). I have been working on my post for weeks and haven't finished yet, correcting, making new versions, writing it multiple times from the beginning. I wonder whether it should provide people with much information (and, thus, be long, detailed) or increase the possibility that someone actually reads it
I've been thinking about writing a post including as many dimensions as possible. Filling the questionnaire, of course. My short self description. My family tree (with my typing of them). My OCEAN results. I've been collecting this data but I'm afraid that it would be too much.
I have some suspicion what my type is because the way of my thinking. I can see what functions I use but the biggest problem is that it might be a cover for another personality. As a kid I was different from what I am at the moment and I have a personality disorder, so it is really tricky and confusing. I didn't want to say what my guessing of my type is or even add an avatar, because it could lead to some suggestions. I was thinking about adding a paragraph with description of my childhood behaviour, too or even writing a "type me as a child" post because my current "mask" could be the result of two big breakdowns in my life.
awbro I'd love to be typed! I have a type me thread up, but at this point I think I have an adequate number of other posts to look at as well.
I'll need some time to do it, but for now if those of you who haven't filled out a questionnaire anywhere on the site could do so and leave it here, that'd be great.
Link me to your "type me" threads as well if you have any.
Please type me. I will be including the spoilers to 2 previous questionnaires as well as some details about my strengths, weaknesses, character traits, and general thought processes. Questionnaire #1 (@RadicalDoubt):
1) Context:
a) What is your age range and general location (Country so that cultural values can be taken into account)? Do you have any impairments that may affect the way that you answer this questionnaire? Any religious or political beliefs (or anything else along those lines) that also might have an effect?
I am a 15 year-old American female. I have some anxiety and obsessive-compulsive tendencies. My idealism makes me want to correct errors in the American justice system by using the law and by being objective. However, I am also pragmatic in that I am more focused on my own ambitions and achievement; I don’t plan on pursuing this cause as my life goal.
b) Which types are you currently considering? Why are you considering them and why haven’t you decided on one?
I am considering ISTJ, ESTJ, ENTJ, and INFJ for MBTI. I know that the TJ types that I am considering are very different from INFJ. I am an ambivert. The argument for ISTJ/ESTJ is that I focus on logic and effectiveness when making decisions, I am fairly detail-oriented, and I can be overly critical. I hate procrastination and I love to get things done. I make decisions based on effectiveness and I love being productive. The argument for ESTJ/ENTJ is that I love getting things done, I love leading people, I need to be in control, I am an overachiever, and I become extremely emotional in “grip stress.†I try to remain objective. I am strategic, creative, can see the bigger picture, and I am constantly thinking about the future (argument for ENTJ). I will be single-minded when achieving goal(s) (argument for ENTJ). While efficiency is important to me, my perfectionism, I believe that feelings are messy even though I can be emotional at times. I channel my negative emotions (sadness, stress, anxiety) into doing something (work, extracurriculars, obsessively checking and rearranging). However, there is a point where my emotions explode (possible Fi/Fe grip stress reaction). But I don’t trust feelings and I try to view them through a logical, factual lens. The reason why I think that there is a small chance that I may be an INFJ is because I can be emotional at times (mainly in stress due to perfectionism), I am very creative, I am strategic, I am analytical, and I am idealistic. INFJ is definitely the least likely because I do not have their “future predicting†abilities, I cannot read people very well, I am not very empathetic, I am not very altruistic, I can be overly critical, and I make decisions based on effectiveness. I also don’t go to Se in stress and I am far more in touch with my own emotions than those of others. I seek effectiveness more than social harmony.
As for the enneagram, I am in between enneagram 1 and enneagram 3. I am obsessed with achievement and getting things done (enneagram 3). I disconnect with feelings to get things done unless they are very strong. I am a bit of a workaholic and I am in many clubs at school. I am very focused on my grades. (Argument for enneagram 3)
Like enneagram 1, I have idealistic tendencies. I believe that unfairness can be corrected with objectivity. But this is not my primary purpose. I am a huge perfectionist, I value logic over emotion, and I can be overly critical. Unlike the enneagram 3 archetype, I do not have their “image focus.â€
As for socionics, I think I am either LSI, LII, LIE, LSE, or SLI. Most likely LIE, LII, or LSE.
2) What do you deem as your purpose in life?
My purpose in life is to achieve great things. My sense of self is primarily defined by achievements, what I lack, and what I have. I want to lead, to strategize, and to achieve. I also love analyzing problems and providing logical solutions. Analysis comes naturally to me.
3) Of the seven deadly sins, which one(s) do you relate to the most and the least and why?
Although I relate a lot with greed and envy, I will go with greed. I always want to achieve more and I am a control freak. This causes me to work harder and be in a lot of extracurriculars.
I can relate the least to lust because my love life is not that important to me. Achievement is the most important thing.
4) Analyzing your relationships with others, briefly describe:
a) The type of people you are drawn to
I am drawn to intelligent and friendly people. I seek out those that have similar interests and/or experiences to me.
b) The type of people who are drawn to you
People that have similar interests and experiences to me. Some of my strongest social connections were through Model UN and other clubs at my school.
c) The type of people you are repulsed by
I am repulsed by lazy people that are overly spontaneous. I also dislike those that knowingly and willingly break the rules.
5)What are the traits in others that you admire but you cannot emulate yourself? Elaborate.
Others tend to “fit in†better. They are also more spontaneous than rigid. Even though I have good social skills now, I struggled with them when I was younger. I do not fit in because I am more task-oriented than relationship-oriented and I have always had different interests than most people. I also wish I was more spontaneous because it is a “likeable†trait.
6) Describe your relationship with the following:
a) Anger
I do not get angry easily. It is very rare that I will become visibly angry.
b) Shame
I feel shame when I become emotional (I dislike emotions), when I do not live up to my expectations, and when I feel like I am not achieving enough. I am a huge perfectionist that hates receiving bad grades. My relationship with criticism is mixed. Sometimes I perceive it as useful, and sometimes it makes me disappointed in myself.
c) Fear
d) Love/passion
I feel passionate towards what I do. I can be single-minded in whatever I plan on achieving and I will enthusiastically work towards it. I am also passionate towards my interests.
e) Conflict
I have a realistic view on conflict. I am not particularly confrontational but I will do it if I need to. I believe that it happens every now and then and I don’t try to seek social harmony. I don’t like emotional conflicts; issues can be sorted out rationally. I love debating issues rationally and I am competitive. Intellectual debate is a fun thing for me.
7) What are some of the themes that have played a prominent role in your life (ie. A struggle you’ve been unable to conquer, ect)?
The themes of my life are: the desire for knowledge, the desire to achieve things, productivity, and perfectionism.
8) Answer only one of the following:
b)[Under college aged] What do you plan on studying/working as in the future? How did you go about deciding this? If this is not your ideal area of pursuit, what would be?
I plan on studying economics in the future, and I might go to law school. If I go to law school, I plan on becoming a corporate lawyer or an intellectual property lawyer. I have always been interested in law, politics, and government. I love debating and researching. I went about deciding this path because I find economics to be interesting and useful. Economics is also intertwined with politics. Although this is very close to my ideal pursuit, it is not. I want to study international relations because I am interested in international politics. I am in Model UN and I find that to be very interesting.
9) When meeting a new person, what do you tend to focus on?
I tend to focus on a new person’s interests and friendliness. I tend to introduce myself to new people and I ask questions to know about their interests.
10) How do you feel about humanity as a whole? What do you feel are some of the biggest problems the human race faces and why?
Although humanity has improved due to advancements in technology, medicine, globalization, and reforms, it is still unjust. Injustice is the biggest problem that the human race faces. The objective applications of just laws is what is needed in the world.
11) What are some of your hobbies and interests?
My hobbies and interests are economics, law, politics, history, Model UN, Amnesty International Club (this is a thing at my school), creative writing, and Taekwondo. I like debating as well.
13) How do you usually “hang out†with your friend(s)? When answering, think about what activities you tend to choose, whether you hang out with one person at once or many, whether or not you initiate the interaction.
I hang out with my friends at school and in extracurriculars. My friends and I tend to talk and do things in extracurriculars. I will usually talk to one or a few people and I will usually initiate the conversation. I do not schedule many interactions outside of school & extracurriculars, however.
14) What is more important, actions or words? Why?
Actions are more important than words because words are meaningless unless they are put into action. Words can create meaningful plans, promises, and analyses, but plans must be enacted. Promises that are not implemented are meaningless.
15) Oh dear, you’ve been cursed by a witch! It’s ok though, you get a choice on which curse you will receive. Will you choose….
a) To never be able to experience the sensation of taste
b) To be immortal
c) To lose your memories
d) To be poor for the rest of your life
e) Or to never experience passion
Elaborate on why!
I would choose to be immortal. I love knowledge and success; therefore, I would not choose c) and d). Immortality means that you can explore many things and that you can accomplish many things. Passion & ambition drives me to achieve goals. I love food.
16) What do you hope to avoid being? If it helps, describe a person who embodies what you avoid/you as a villain, ect.
I avoid being lazy, a procrastinator, and being seen as a failure. I don’t want to be inefficient, imperfect, and unplanned. I don’t want to be driven by emotions, illogical, and subjective.
17) How do you relate to obsession? Do you tend to "merge" with others or your interests? How do you feel about the idea of doing this?
I can become very obsessive about my interests and ambitions. On one hand, it is a good thing because it helps me achieve my goals and gain knowledge. On the other hand, it makes me obsessively check and organize things at times. I wish I was less obsessive.
18) Organized or messy? Plans and blueprints or impulse and surprises? What are your preferences and tendencies?
I am definitely organized. I love planning and I hate surprises. Unexpected changes can freak me out. Although I will experiment and change things, I also like predictability. I make to-do lists almost every day and I aim to complete as much of it as I can in one day. I am a perfectionist as well. I do not stick to a self-imposed schedule often, but the tasks that I need to complete control my day. I can be obsessive in checking things and organizing at times.
19) How do you subjectively view comfort and how do you create comfort in your life and surroundings?
I seek comfort by having routine and having organized surroundings. Although I love checking things off of my to-do list, I also like watching TV as well. I like comfort, but I don’t think that I should get “too comfortable†and stagnate.
Questionnaire #2 (@EJCC):
1) What aspects of your personality made you unsure of your type?
I am in between ISTJ, ESTJ, and ENTJ. I have also considered INTJ, INFJ, and ISFJ. Although I can be emotional sometimes, I try to keep a dividing line between emotions and logic when making decisions. I value objectivity and I am comfortable making decisions based on facts. I have strong personal values as well. While I can be very emotionally expressive at times, that is the only aspect of Fe that I can relate to. My emotionality mainly happens under stress. I am not particularly empathetic, I am not naturally attentive to social norms (I have struggled with social skills in the past), and I have a realistic view on conflict (“it happens occasionallyâ€). I am very focused on being productive and I can be overly critical. I am also ambiverted. I like spending time alone yet I am very outgoing.
I am detail-oriented yet I can see the big picture. I have an excellent memory for details and past experiences yet I do not rely on them too often. I am very creative and innovative as well. I can easily visualize something in my mind. I am very future-oriented but I will complete the necessary tasks to realize the goal.

When someone is achieving more than me or is better than me at something. I compare myself a lot.
5) What tends to weigh on your decisions? (Do you think about people, pro-cons, how you feel about it, etc.)
While I may briefly consider my feelings and the others involved in a decisions, the pros and cons are most important for me. I will think about how the decision will affect the future and the facts involved. Standards, rules, and laws will be considered.
6) When working on a project what is normally your emphasis? Do you like to have control of the outcome?
Making sure that it is perfect. I will ensure that the details are correct and that the project is up to my internal standards and external standards. External standards refer to judging criteria set by others or myself. I do like to have control of the outcome; I am a control freak.
7) Describe a time where you had a lot of fun. How is your memory of it?
8) When you want to learn something new, what feels more natural for you?
I tend to memorize things quickly. I will repeat things in my head and I will take notes. I am not a good visual learner.
9) How organized do you think of yourself as?
Very organized and planned. I can be obsessive when checking things and seeing if things are organized according to my standards.
10) How do you judge new ideas? You try to understand the principles behind it to see if they make sense or do you look for information that supports it?
I will judge new ideas whether they are practical and can be implemented in the real world. I will judge its principles and I may look for information that supports it if I need more information.
11) You find harmony by making sure everyone is doing fine and belonging to a given group or by making sure that you follow what you believe and being yourself?
Harmony is not something that I actively seek. Although I have tried to belong to given groups, I have a realistic view on conflict. Conflict happens every now and then. I am more sensitive to internal conflict (who am I? Am I following my values?) than external conflict.
12) Are you the kind that thinks before speaking or do you speak before thinking? Do you prefer one-on-one communication or group discussions?
I generally speak as I think, although I will sometimes think before I speak. I tend to prefer one-on-one communication.
13) Do you jump into action right away or do you like to know where are you jumping before leaping? Does action speaks more than words?
I like to evaluate the consequences of something before I take action so that I do not fail at something. I am not a risk taker. Actions speak louder than words because words are promises, but actions create outcomes.
14) It's Saturday. You're at home, and your favorite show is about to start. Your friends call you for a night out. What will you do?
I will get ready quickly for a night out, as long as it is not too wild. I like to socialize to an extent.
15) How do you act when you're stressed out?
I become moody, irrational, and anxious. I also become unmotivated and depressed. I am more willing to talk about feelings, but that is mainly due to others’ concern. But at the same time, I will be more withdrawn. My emotionality mainly happens when stressed; this could be the result of inferior Fe/Fi.
16) What makes you dislike the personalities of some people?
Laziness, procrastination, dishonesty, breaking the rules, and being unable to commit. I also do not like it when people are being overly controlling.
17) Is there anything you really like talking about with other people?

My friends perceive me as smart, curious, creative, hardworking, ambitious, perfectionistic, critical, high-strung, friendly, outgoing, and organized. I am not as organized as people think I am. My friends would never say that I am incompetent, lazy, or a procrastinator.
20) You got a whole day to do whatever you like. What kind of activities do you feel like doing? (not during quarantine)

- Researching areas of interests
- Hanging out with a friend
- Getting coffee or bubble tea
- Going out to a restaurant
- Going to Taekwondo class
- Listening to music
What sort of tasks are you naturally adept at?
Planning. I am very task-oriented and I will come up with a plan to achieve my goals.
Memorization. People have always told me that I have a good memory.
Analysis.
After I overcame my social difficulties (which made me hate working in groups), I started to lead group projects, directly or indirectly.
Speech patterns:
I am generally enthusiastic, expressive, passionate, and direct. I am forceful and clear. I will explain things in specifics and it is not unusual for me to recall things in detail. I can also see the bigger picture.
I will sometimes pause when speaking, but this is not normal. I tend to start conversations.
I tend to ask a lot of questions to get more information.
I am not afraid of correcting someone if they are wrong. I will say so directly.
When I was younger, I used to talk obsessively about what I was interested in. I would give details about a certain subject.
Now, I talk about relevant things related to school and my goals. I also talk about opinions on things, and I will sometimes talk about past experiences.

I am very good at analyzing and planning. I tend to lay out detailed plans for whichever goal(s) I want to achieve.
When thinking about tasks, I will think about them sequentially (I have to do this, then that).
I visualize things easily and I often “think in pictures.†Music often triggers images of things, and they are often not connected to reality.
I can easily create stories in my mind.
I verbalize most of my thoughts. I will say what I am going to do and whatever I am thinking about. I will tell them, whether they are realistic or not.
I am future-minded in my thinking but I will take the present steps to achieve my goals.
What sort of tasks have you repeatedly failed at?
Reading nonverbal cues in people. Although my social skills have improved greatly, I can’t pick up those cues.
I have failed at doing art. Although I can do some extroverted sensing activities well (cooking and Taekwondo), the coordination of art can be hard for me. My handwriting is not great either.
Paying attention to my emotions can be hard for me. I will often try to distance myself from my emotions as much as possible. I view them as messy and a detriment to getting things done. I will deal with them by doing schoolwork, learning, But if I neglect them for long enough, they will erupt (usually by crying and by having to talk about them).
What do you generally avoid doing?
Procrastinating. I love getting things done.
Not working towards my goals. I need to be doing something most of the time.
I try to avoid making mistakes. I hate mistakes.
Asking for help unless I absolutely need to. I want to independently solve problems if I am working alone.
I try to avoid breaking rules. Breaking rules and laws have obvious consequences; therefore, I try to follow them.
I avoid going to most parties. Although they can be fun sometimes, they can be stressful.
What do you mainly seek out?
Doing my best work as I possibly can. I am a huge perfectionist.
Achievement. I try to achieve whatever I set my mind to.

How do others see me as?
Hardworking, ambitious, smart, creative, outgoing, strategic, a rule-follower, anxious, emotional, someone who loves control, single-minded, idealistic, perfectionistic, determined, overly critical, rigid, and judgmental.
God, I don't have so many friends to go to a restaurant or have two different bakers recommended
Let's mark my friend as A and the well-known baker as B.
It depends on prices and the taste of the food. Which relationship is more important to me, the baker's or the young couple's? Is my friend, who recommends B, getting married? Well, then it's their decision where to buy the cake! If not, I think that buying it from A doesn't affect my relationship with the young couple, but could help my friend. Who would do their best to make a perfect cake in return. It's an advertisement for them. For me it's just a cake, I don't care about flavours too much. From my point of view buying from A has more advantages, unless their cake tastes worse.
This right here made me think INTP. I had INTX narrowed down, but this makes me think INTP because of the pro/con nature.
Meaning or interesting form of presenting shapes. Like there are two things when you watch from different angles. Or smaller elements are connected into a bigger one. I like looking for hidden meanings or riddles contained in art. I could also try to recall the historical context of creation.
This also strikes me as an INTP answer, as INTPs like to collect facts.
General: INTX. Verdict: INTP. Of course, you're free to disagree.
noname3788:
I study physics. I like to learn about things, and physics can answer at least some of the fundamental questions of this world. Also, I can perfectly imagine myself to work as some scientist later, as it could allow me to avoid the corporate world. Also, there is the small chance of discovering something important that could improve humanity, there are still enough unsolved problems out there, a solution to one of these could change a lot.
I get INFJ vibes from your post but this really reminds me of INFJs' answers.
I like having a basic degree of organization. Knowing when I have to do something allows me to adjust to it, but I also try to allow some spare time to be used for whatever I want to do at that time. I always have a basic plan but the exact implementation can easily change once I get a better idea.
This one as well.
Verdict: INFJ. Feel free to disagree.
Tigerfalcon8:
I verbalize most of my thoughts. I will say what I am going to do and whatever I am thinking about. I will tell them, whether they are realistic or not.
Inf Fi.
Now what about the middle functions? I'll tell you a bit about what I see, and you're free to disagree. Mine should only be one in a menagerie of opinions.
Hardworking, ambitious, smart, creative, outgoing, strategic, a rule-follower, anxious, emotional, someone who loves control, single-minded, idealistic, perfectionistic, determined, overly critical, rigid, and judgmental.
Making sure that it is perfect. I will ensure that the details are correct and that the project is up to my internal standards and external standards. External standards refer to judging criteria set by others or myself. I do like to have control of the outcome; I am a control freak.
A note to all of you: I did read more of all your questionnaires than what I posted here. I just excerpted some data to put in the post for you to review for your reading and analyzing pleasure.
Everyone should try to find something that makes their life worth living. Currently, I don’t have anything to live for so I’m going to college to find something I’d like to study. Life itself is meaningless and it happens by chance. Life is an opportunity to experience the world you came from before you disappear.
Sounds like ESFP to me. Definitely a P type. A lot of the answers you gave sounded inf Ni and aux Fi, and as I scrolled through the responses helped make it all the more clear. Of course, feel free to disagree--you're not bound to this at all!
Dareyth: I tried to read your blog, but for some reason it blocked me... not sure the reason. Just by vibe, INXX. If you want to give me a resource to use to type you that won't give me an error message, I'll be much obliged.

Enneagram is fine! I'm sure I could make do with that. Or, if you have a post you're particularly proud of that you made on the forum or elsewhere, you can link me to that as well. I wish I could search through posts! Then we wouldn't have to do this manually. Although, there's something to be said about talking to people in the modern age, I suppose... *cue fake deep music*
Anything will do at this point. No need to fill out another questionnaire if it doesn't suit. I just need something to bounce off of and use to provide evidence in bite-sized bits and as something to serve as reference points for me to go back to later.
I completely understand if that's too much work, however.

Dareyth: I'm not an expert at Enneagram and it seems that you've already got quality input from Earl Grey and Coriolis; therefore, I'll leave that out, but where applicable I'll mention what I think could be your innerworkings.
I also tend to have an obsessive focus on expressing my identity, especially in art.
Now, you might think this spells out ISFP perfectly but I think, rather, that it's just Ni of a sort. I haven't yet learnt how to tell Enneagram apart from the MBTI or functions, but as you mentioned in your post, it's all about motivation. Ni is just the medium, or here, the "obsessive focus."
I want to be the best at everything, but also be different. I want to leave an impact on the world no one else has yet. I feel the way I can do that, is in art and writing. I don't really care for people, but at the same time like recognition, and then I get uncomfortable when people accept me, as if I was not worthy or too flawed to be accepted.
This sounds like a combination of Ni-Ti to me. Dom Ni wants the best for its user, Ti seeks individuality. This explodes in an extremely driven, outstandingly unique person of their own invention. Of course, I'm also reading into this some INTJ vibes, so at this moment, INXJ is appropriate for the type. I would also consider INFP. INTP to me sounds wrong because you don't seem to focus first and foremost on logical consistency in your description. You focus on getting the information out. INTPs get more hung up on details. INFPs do, too, but don't have such sticks up their butts.
Naturally, you're free to disagree and tell me why. I love a good debate.

INTJ is the most common typing I get, so no surprise there. It was actually Coriolis that helped me realize I was using Ti instead of Te. And my general scatteredness is more Perceiving etc. I am also definately not a conventional Ti user. Hence why I made that thread. 5s are far more exacting, 4s are more stylized.

I have spoken at length with Dareyth about this. I can see why people might initially type her as INTJ, especially if focusing on certain superficial aspects of her behavior that fit the stereotypes. At the risk of being accused of gatekeeping, I tend to have a pretty good radar for other INTJs, even if I can't always explain exactly why I think someone is or isn't one. If I observe long enough, I can gather the necessary supporting evidence.
For Dareyth, this comes out in how she argues. I wouldn't say the Ti drive for logical consistency is absent, but rather that it takes a different form than in many other INTPs. The focus on getting the information out is exactly that. It doesn't lead to any particular organization or drive toward one single point, as an NTJ (or possibly NFJ) might argue. It is more of a broad brush or scatterspray that can lead a conversation along a path that is meandering rather than aimed at some specific end goal. Such conversations can be especially interesting because of the unexpected ground they can cover. They can also be a tad frustrating for an NTJ who must keep trying to steer the conversation back to their intended focus.

Oh, hello! I appreciate you stopping by. I'll just leave a note here explaining a bit of my reasoning, though your argument does make sense and is sound.
I was actually thinking INFJ for her. Ni dom. I had it narrowed down to INXX, possibly just INXX with Ti, which would lead to INTP or INFJ. I think I'm probably just a bad typist imo, I had some information from her "type me" thread but not enough to go off of to get that kind of data you mentioned. That bit is intriguing.
