Is there any actual evidence for the lines joining the enneagram based on the integration/disintegration points?

If you don't know of any, why do you believe in this aspect of the theory? Have you seen unequivocally that when "secure" you shift towards your integration point and no other point, and likewise for disintegration when stressed?
