Trump and Putin gang up on European centrists in Romania’s election crisis
This is going to turn into a show however you turn it.
Germany’s conservative Chancellor-in-waiting Friedrich Merz has reached a breakthrough with the Greens on a massive spending plan to unleash hundreds of billions of euros for defense and infrastructure.
“Germany is back,” Merz told reporters in Berlin on Friday.
Rheinmetall's value has more than tripled since Donald Trump became U.S. president in January, alongside those of many other big European defense companies,
The EU aims to launch a massive project to build up its defense industry aimed at deterring Russia and supporting Ukraine while the U.S. pulls backs from the continent,
While I agree that immigration puts a strain on housing (and on schools, at least here in Germany) I still think you are clinging on to some form of conspiracy thinking that this is about importing cheap labor. Sadly most of these newly arrived people have too little formal education to be much use on the job market. It'll take loads of money and time to help them get the language skills and the formal education necessary.JD Vance ‘had a point’ on migration, Danish socialist prime minister warns EU leaders
In a sense this kinda proves what I was saying for some time. Which is that the only thing that mass immigration will really do is to elect right wingers (perhaps even the radical ones). Therefore it seems that this woman realized that if you can always import new people there is no real need to have socialized medicine, free college and similar benefits. Plus with this you will probably have a infrastructure/housing crisis in the cities. Exactly where is the core base of left leaning parties.
In Denmark far right has about 5% in polls and milder national conservatives have 10%. While this woman leads as incumbent.
