NATO chief sees ‘real risk’ of Putin attacking other countries after Ukraine

In this case he will take Moldova for sure, since Ukraine and Moldova are in the same bubble between east and west. Plus in this way he will have much more direct link to ex Warsaw pact countries, where he still has a fair amount of friends and infrastructure. So the fall of Ukraine would surely erode the system in those countries. Which are already under various pressures from inside and outside. In the case of Orban we can probably say that the system has already cracked. Plus now this is already actively spreading into Slovakia due to heir new government .... etc. So if Ukraine falls there will be quite large domino effects that will hit the whole west. What is exactly why there is the invasion into Ukraine. Or in other words this is why the collective west had to react.

Of course, since then the whole west would have a mandate to fight Venezuela. The war that so fragile country can't win and their main allies are across the world.

This will evidently become some sort of new normal in that part of the world.

It's still a fun world. We've just forgotten how to live in it.

The idea of living off by myself in a stretch of relative wilderness somewhere (as in that video you posted) is something I've found appealing for a long time. The issue of requiring modern medicine is a significant hurdle to overcome, though. I also no longer think the idea of living by myself is appealing; my vulnerabilities as a social animal is also now apparent.

The biggest hurdle to that kind of lifestyle is that land is perhaps no longer cheap anywhere (I would guess), except for maybe Alaska. I love the cold, but maybe not that much.
