Questionable. Since towards this moderates are 1/3 of the vote, progressive forces are 1/3 and 1/3 doesn't know. However to get the real picture of what people want you must sum moderate and progressive candidates, but then picture isn't really clear and therefore there is no clear opinion on what should the party send against Trump. How people think and how rules work isn't always the same and this is exactly what gave us 2016.

Also if Warren and Bernie voters start to demand merging the votes in order to "overthrow" Biden all of this can very quickly turn upside down. Especially since the last 1/3 that doesn't know are probably mostly just working/struggling people that doesn't pay much attention to politics on daily basis. "Prefer" is very "liquid term" these days.

The largest group are usually Independents, not Democrats or Republicans.

No offense, but I think that's a misguided strategy. I think what actually matters is getting the base to turn out and vote, which I think is the difference between an Obama and a John Kerry. I don't recall Kerry's quest to court "NASCAR dads" working out too well for him, as Bush ended up winning the popular vote.

I'm sure that my upper Midwestern, blue collar relatives who are Obama-Trump voters would end up voting for Bernie or Warren, but I definitely don't expect them to flip for Biden. It's unclear what they would think Biden would offer them that Trump doesn't. If they cared at all about 'norms' or 'the dignity of the office', they wouldn't have voted for Trump in the first place. I'm pretty sure they don't care about how our standing abroad is affected. Those three things are all that Biden really has to offer. It's not nothing, but it's not going to be enough.

If we had $37 trillion to spend (on Poca's Medicare for all scheme), shouldn't we just pay off the debt first? The interest on the $21 trillion debt is around $400 billion/year and Poca wants to add another $37 trillion to it? Does that make any sense?

Maybe Mayor Bloomberg can save the day; sure, he has the personality of spinach and he likes to 'stop and frisk' suspicious characters, but at least he's rich and understands math.

Maybe the thing Biden can court this year is "hacky sack rednecks" (people who are in the KKK, but like smoking weed). If Biden shows up at a Lynyrd Skynyrd cover band concert, maybe he can win those people over.

Oh, my bad for basing my opinions on my own observations about America's heartland rather than some dipshit pundit who only knows other dipshit pundits.

Elizabeth Warren suggested Joe Biden was in the ‘wrong’ primary. He fired back hard.

Careful, Joe. The little school teacher will come along and smack your wrist with her ruler. ;)

Obama cautions 2020 candidates against going too far left - Axios

“This is still a country that is less revolutionary than it is interested in improvement,” Obama said. “They like seeing things improved. But the average American doesn’t think that we have to completely tear down the system and remake it. And I think it’s important for us not to lose sight of that.”

“My point is that even as we push the envelope and we are bold in our vision, we also have to be rooted in reality and the fact that voters, including Democratic voters and certainly persuadable independents or even moderate Republicans, are not driven by the same views that are reflected on certain, you know, left-leaning Twitter feeds or the activist wing of our party,” he said.

He also thought Trump wouldn't win.

I think many Democrat voters are waiting for Mark Cuban or Oprah to step in and save them. The current field is extremely unlikeable (angry and way too radical) with the exception of Williamson (less than 1% support), gun grabber Gabbard (the Russian asset), and Mayor Butthead (Is he still at 0% support among African American Dems?). You'd think there'd be at least one reasonably likeable Democrat in the entire country, but apparently not.

Deval Patrick? Maybe he's the savior, lol. He's basically a dorkier version of Corey Booker.
