It's different because how? how are you going to seperate s power if all power is being centralized? you haven't explained anything. There are no righrs accociated with democratic socialism. If the will of the people decide you are a wrong thinker they can easily destroy you and take your property etc. In essence its totalitarian like socialism.

This is surprisingly untrue. Democratic Socialism practices the limitation of power with a Constitution, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Separation of Powers, and the myriad conventions of democracy built up over centuries.

It seems to me you don't understand Liberal Democracy, but you want to spout off here as though you know what you are talking about.

Misogynists are weak inside, but make themselves feel strong by dominating women.

Really? This looks like the same baseless hogwash you usually spout on this topic. No point in trying to correct your misconceptions - you are far too wedded to them. To recap for anyone new in town:

 • men and women are far more alike than different
 • gender-based differences are statistical, not individual
 • equality is not the same as identity/being identical
 • women have have done significant manual labor throughout pregnancy during most of human history; those who could not, often did not live to reproduce again
 • women have always faced the danger of childbirth, mitigated only in recent times, and from which men are obviously exempt
 • the right to vote was traditionally tied to property ownership, excluding many men as well as all women
 • homemaking work done by women or men has significant economic value

Yes, the differences between women and the differences between men are greater than the differences between women and men.

it seems to me that you like spout off here like you know what you are talking about but don't actually know anything about liberal democracy especially when it comes to actually putting it into practice and implementing policies.I asked ypu specificslly how socialist democracy could be implimented and you relied on insults to dodge the question because like other forms of socialism it sounds good on paper but is disastrous in the real world.

Do you ever say anything that isn't a condescending insult? (your problems...definitely other people's fault...believe it.)

I apologize if the thought of what these demographics might reveal felt threatening or something so that you felt it necessary to post.

I've studied demographics off and on over the years to have an idea in mind of what I expect to see sure.

I don't say anything that's a condescending insult. People see and hear what they want to see and hear when they want to see and hear it. It's just a fact of life, so it's pretty easy to predict.

I can't think of anything less threatening, or interesting, or useful, than demographics. Categorically lumping people together is so easy that it's tempting to forget how different and nuanced each individual actually is.

Not sure I would call it an "ideology" and which ideology are you referring to? men's rights activism? libertarianism? traditionalism? facts, reason, evidence are the things that push my thinking in one direction or the other.

it's not mythical and it spans far longer than 52 years. Women are different than men, physically, mentally and emotionally. It's part of human evolution and sexual dymporhism. However many cannot come to grips with these facts because they have be taught and brainwashed from an early age to believe that men and women are equal in all ways. Feminism has taught us that if men and women differ in a certain skill set, career choice, life choice, income etc than it must be a result of sexism because men and women are equal to another. However than premise is false and you don't have to look hard to see the reaction of some of these people. James Damore who graduated with a masters in biology wrote a memo to google about the biological differences between men and women. He was fired from google almost immediately and set out as an outcast.

Women have reproductive value and has always had this since the beginning of species. This is due to women only being able to carry a child every 9 months or so which means in the early human days she must have to be protected from danger. She was also physically immobile during those nine months and would choose the strongest mate to fetch her resources to give to her and her children. This is the dynamic between men and women that have been going on for centuries. Men are far more disposible by nature and society views men as so.

Liberals for some reason are completely blind of the value of responsibility they fail to see that having status as a manager, CEO, President, police officer means that there are rules and hierarchy that should be followed. When those Hierarchies are dismantled there is no structure chaos, poverty, and death emerge in order to ultimately bring those hierarchies back. This is why all cultures across the world are fundamentally conservative in nature not liberal. Women did not have the responsibility of the draft because men due to their disposable nature were perceived by society as caretakers of their women. This means that women were exempt from danger however as a trade off for being protected were not granted the same rights as men. In short you cannot have rights unless you carry a certain level of responsibility. The right to vote was tied to the responsibility of the draft.

You can take away women's privileges that were never earned. Restructure the laws so that those who pay into the system (man or woman) through taxes are able to vote for what they able to do with that money. So say you are a women working at a college as a professor and pay 30G a year of taxes into the system I see no reason why you shouldn't have the ability to vote the same as a man.

As you would expect... a lot of this seems shocking/radical to me. And while there's a chance I may have some follow-up questions idk...I've got to at least hand it to you now... you are honest (I think it's so dumb and a huge waste of everyone's time when people start threads but don't have the courage to just be upfront with regards to their views...)

Thats normal because it's a world view you're not used to hearing and I don't expect for people to agree with everything i say.. I suggest doing your own research and come to your own conclusions but listen and take into consideration the point the of view isntead of automatically dismissing it like a knee jerk reaction.(not to assume you do this).

The West is based on two values: freedom and equality. Freedom is exemplified in classical liberalism, and equality is exemplified in democratic socialism. Both are constitutional and democratic. They give rise to Left and Right in democratic politics.

Both eschew violence and are in contrast to totalitarian politics.

And the genius of the West is shown in that freedom limits equality, and equality limits freedom, and they live together in creative tension.

cool story bro keep dodging the question. Equality of outcome is exemplified by socialism while equality of opportunity is exemplified by classical liberalism.

Feminism has addressed some good points.

Like, we regard Chewbacca as a hero to the rebel alliance, yet overlook how he was basically a deadbeat who left his family to struggle while he was off playing bachelor pirate with Han Solo, all while avoiding space child support payments. Itchy and the Art Carney dude were far better fathers to Lumpy. At least Han stuck around to raise Ben Solo.

I think women should be allowed to do whatever they want to do.

You know...I never participated in these discussions back in the day. I was going through something in my personal life and didn't have it in me at the time to consider larger issues. But I am truly disgusted by the dishonesty, manipulation and arrogance I've witnessed and been subjected to in this thread and all it has done is leave me with is this feeling of "no wonder". I'm sorry but these are little men. And this is a drum that isn't worth banging.
I always wonder about the motivations behind much of what is posted in these contexts, specifically those remarks that don't contain actual information about the topic. Exactly what does the posting member hope to gain by making a given comment? I avoid making assumptions, but often will ask. Not surprisingly, direct answers are rare.

It's sad too because this is highlander's thread. <-Someone I count on as a friend and an individual I hold in the highest regard. And based on what I've seen of his experience...I do feel he had/has legitimate cause to question what all of this means as I've seen individuals in the past claiming to be feminists misunderstand him and subsequently respond to him in a way that was ultimately inappropriate. It was important for me to be part of this thread but jesus...this isn't worth it.

We're clearly coming up against far more than a difference in an opinion over a social/political issue here. There are members here that are clearly struggling.

highlander...I had created a list in my mind of ways in which I feel feminism is or can be toxic...but no longer care to share them in a thread ruined by the toxicity of one of two members.

Feminism is about equal rights for men and women. I'm in favor of that.
What I mind is feminazis trying to take rights away from men and giving an unfair advantage to women.

Alt right thats funny lol you mean the anti feminists who are against third wave rhetoric like toxic masculinity but are all for 1st and second wave feminist bullcrap. Closet liberal because its no longer cool to be an sjw.

Are you referring to me as an SJW?

I hold allegiance to none and all. I don't pidgeonhole myself into any one ideological group and I don't blanket an entire group of any one ideology as an enemy just for disagreeing with me. That's what SJW and alt right people who play identity politics tend to do. No way, not me.
