walked around my neighborhood for an hour and a half catching Pokemon I keep seeing people talking about how many rattatas they are getting but my area seems to be duduo infested for some reason. saw a couple preteen boys walking around who I suspected to be playing also.

I'm going to visit my friend at work later bc she has a lot of pokestops nearby. then we're going to walk her dogs and search more.

A battle may be looming between some Pokémon Go users and the Westboro Baptist Church.

The new augmented reality game, which connects to a user's phone GPS, sent fans wandering to their local parks, historical landmarks and churches — including the Westboro Baptist Church. As people across the country devoted their weekends to catching Pokemon, one user noticed that the church, known for its opposition to the LGBT movement, was listed as a gym on Pokemon Go.

So that user claimed it, using a Pokemon named Clefairy. Its nickname is "LoveIsLove."

The Westboro Baptist Church is fighting back, using one of the most commonly known Pokémon: Jigglypuff.​

Almost fitting that they chose the Pokémon that puts people asleep when it sings and angrily graffitis people's faces with a marker when it doesn't get the adoration it seeks.

Went on a walk pokemon hunting and came across a gym.

So I sat there- losing and reviving, losing and reviving- and weakened it from a level 5 gym to a level 3 gym...

And all of the sudden... A group of 12 year old missionaries come squeeling out of their houses and try to hassle me away from the gym.

I finished the battle I was on- lost with grace- and left them to their precious.

It was actualy fairly hilarious- they were like trying to surround me and intimidate me.

More annoying than anything- annoying and funny were fighting a hard battle.

Annoying finally won.

So so so tempted to go out tonight- past their bed-times

(yeah- they might not have them, its summer after all- but I feel like a huger- in a good way- ass- thinking they might- heh- Im so so ao much cooler than them. Totes.)

- and just DESTROYING it by order of valor.

Maybe.

Probably not though.
Hah. Was awesome wicked though.

This might not be of interest to many others, but I found it pretty funny. Guess how Nintendo's stock is doing?


When the Tokyo Stock Exchange opened last Wednesday Nintendo's shares were priced at ¥14,005 (they dipped as low as ¥13,835 that morning). When the exchange opened this morning they were priced at ¥16,270. At closing today they were priced at ¥20,260: a 24.5% gain today, and a 45% overall gain in just four business days.

Similarly their stock on the NASDAQ jumped from $17.49 Wednesday morning to $20.73 at closing Friday, and today it closed at $27.70: up 33.6% today alone, and 58% overall in four days.

I have caught so many Magikarps today. I'm not sure why they're plentiful all of a sudden. I caught two within a couple minutes on the way home from picking up my son at camp. He was playing on my phone while I drove- we were close to a pond, maybe that's it. I caught another fish type the other day while the kids played next to a fountain. That is so cool to me.

Remember when you downloaded that hot new app called Pokémon Go three days and thousands of hours ago? Remember when you had to sign in with your Gmail account because you probably didn’t have a pokemon.com username?

Unfortunately, if you’re playing the augmented reality superhit on an iPhone, this seemingly standard practice may have handed over full access to your Google account ― and all the data in it ― to Niantic, the creator of Pokémon Go.

Easily corrected and being blown out of proportion imo. Most of the articles I've seen are just scaremongering. Just a glitch that affects IOS users that they can fix no problem.

Not to mention a fix will be patched into the game soon whether players realize this bug exists first or not.
