I never had either and I'm still playing lol.

Pokemon came along after my time, so I was never into it, but I'm enjoying playing this. I play it with my kids but I'd play it without them if they weren't interested. I played Ingress by myself and liked it a lot, so I was already planning on playing whatever Niantic came up with next- it helps that the creatures are cute as hell.

Also, it seems like the Pokestops and Gyms are based on Ingress portals- interesting to think that Ingress was, in a way, just research for Pokemon Go.

Hehe last night after I posted that I ended up going out again until much past my bedtime. Found another hot spot for pokestops and everyone had a billion lures going! Now I'm level 16

I know absolutely nothing about Pokemon but I downloaded the app anyway. Having trouble aiming the pokeballs.

Hold down the pokeball and a little green circle around the creature should start to shrink. Try to flick the pokeball up at the creature when that circle is at its smallest. If the circle isn't green but is orange or red instead, you're less likely to hold onto the creature once its caught, and apparently there are some tricks that can help make it green but I don't know them. Maybe they don't start until you're higher level or something, I'm only 7 since I can't play nonstop.

My moms really hilarious with this game.

She runs around saying that she wants to 'kill' all the pokemon with the pokeballs- especially the rattatas because she HATES/ is terrified, of mice.

And shes asked me on a few different occasions whether or not the eggs will spoil if she doesnt use them.

And each time she asks- I think its kinda hilarious and rind her that no- this isnt cooking. We arent baking a cake.

And shes organized all her pokemon and I dont know- just the way she plays the game is super funny to me- in a... Aww, thats excellent- sort of way.
