I hope they reveal Jon Snow's parentage in the last episode. Fans have been guessing Jon is a Targ for quite sometime now. Perhaps there is another surprise in the tower which is why they are delaying this. Some guess that Meera Reed (Howland's daughter) was also in the tower. Jon and she looks a lot alike and they are around the same age. Ned adopted Jon and Howland Adopted Meera. Perhaps that's why they are delaying the revelation.

Perhaps we are all wrong and Jon is not a Targ. That would be awkward.

Can anyway guess what Littlefinger really want? Does he want to be the king? If so the easiest method I can see is him trying to marry Danny. But that seems unlikely since he isn't and hasn't been trying to assist her at all. So what does he want, and how it he trying to get it? Hmm he does have a claim to the throne since he is distantly connected to the Targs. Perhaps he is trying to get rid of them all and sit on it on his claims alone?

Also, the actor who plays Ramsay (Iwan Rheon) is in another show called the Misfits which I started watching due to being recommended by the late great [MENTION=13260]Rasofy[/MENTION]. In it he plays a shy geek. If you watch that show and watch this you'd realize that a versatile actor he is. He is also British. What's with British actors being so good and getting so many roles in American shows? I have NO complains.

At the very least there are 5 separate locations to visit in this episode with a lot of heavy shit on the plate.
Even a 75 minute run-time seems cramped when you consider how many actors & situations are already known to be a apart of this episode.

It is also possible that HBO has edited out cast members to preserve the big surprise.

Now here's a real puzzle.
He can't have finished his 1k ship build on the heels of Yara & Theon's getting to Meereen. He has to imagine that Yara will do what it takes to bargain a deal for her 100 ships vis-a-vis Dany.
It's possible he goes to hang at the Party with fellow sleaze Walder Frey and and tries to parley.
But my guess is he heads for Winterfell hoping to Parley Ramsey. Probably wont get very far with Jon

But really I think The Hound is still around because His & Arya's arcs are bound. They became each others only family for awhile. The Hound is better for having felt that way about Arya. At this point I don't think we will see The Hound & Mountainstein battle to the death. The Hound was twisted inside by his older brother's brutality and his father's indifference. With Arya's help, The Hound was able to put that behind him somewhat. Too, there wouldn't be the sort of sibling BS closure from having it out with Mountainstein. Because he's now Moantainstein. I think it will be Arya that slays The Mountain in an all out fight. Classic opposites.

GoT, last year, broke the record by winning 12 Emmys (West Wing's record was only 9). They even won Best Drama --Only once before has that gone to Sci-Fi/Fant.
They Submitted Battle of the Bastards for a bunch of the big time single episode awards, and they wanted to pack it full of CGI and Dany being bad ass too. It would have been, and I hope it still will be, very important for Dany to confront how she treated her two less favorite dragons: Like Slaves.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jaime smacks Frey around.

Fuck, Cersei. You kind of cleaned off the board there. And screwed over Tommen too. But now she got what she wanted all along. I love her costume, btw. So death count: Sparrow, Loras, Lancel, Margaery, Tommen, and Pyrcell... plus a bunch of nameless. There were some decent scenes that caught me off-guard tonight, and one of them was seeing Tommen staring out the window, taking off his circlet and walking off camera, then abruptly walking back on, climbing up in the window, and letting himself fall to his death. Just... wow. he's, like, a kid.

I feel bad for Olenna. Margaery saved her life, at least. I love how she told the Sand Snakes to shut up and let the grown women talk.

Lyanna Mormont is a badass.

I'm a little surprised Davos talked instead of just walking up and killing the Red Woman.

I actually teared up a bit over Dany's gift to Tyrion. it's the role he was always meant to play, and now he works for someone who actually respects him. I did enjoy the comments about him being a terrible consoler.

Arya. Not sure how the face thing works. But there. A name off the list. That was well-deserved.

I'm not really sure what Gregor did to the surviving "Shame" nun. I got the idea he did some things that... were unrepeatable. Although at first I thought he was just going to gouge out her eyes.

Scorched fucking earth Cersei! I can't help put applaud. I also loved her outfit.

I don't think the Mountain killed her. He did something horrible but she is alive, like Cersei promised. Feels good, man. Waterboarding with wine - so bad yet so good.

The music in this episode was phenomenally great.

Tommen. I wasn't exactly shocked but it was jarring, nonetheless.

I liked seeing Dany, Tyrion, Varys (yeah, not dead!) Grey Worm and Missandei on their way with Yara and Theon and the fleet. Amazing ending shot with the dragons flying above.

Hand of the Queen. Maybe he will get that vineyard too.

Glad they wrapped up what what we all knew regarding Jon. King of the North, even if you don't want to be.

Good job Arya. The cooked sons was an especially nice touch.

Lyanna Mormont - wow. She's going to be terrifying as an adult.

Davos, I thought for sure he would haul her ass outside and burn her at the stake himself. Cept Jon would never allow that. Hanging maybe.

Stark - Ruled by Jon (who is technically a Targ but no one knows yet except Bran so w/e)
Arryn - Controlled by LF, currently chillin with the Starks
Baratheon - Ended with Tommen but we know the truth.
Frey - Ended, as a lesson in the consequences of infanticide
Greyjoy - Technically ruled by Euron, but everyone's banking on Yara who just threw her support behind Targ.
Lannister - Did Jaime ever regain his claim to Casterly Rock? Either way, Mad Queen Cersei's ascent makes it the royal house now. But we know the truth.
Tully - Exiled in the most unglamorous way possible.
Tyrell - Ended after the neighborhood bonfire. Olenna married in but has thrown the house's resources behind Targ.
Martell - Technically ended by virtue of all survivors being Sands. But has thrown the house's resources behind Targ.
Bolton - ended

Pretty rough season for the families of the realm.

Cersei's Prophecy

Well, the kids are all taken care of -- "gold for their hair, gold for their shrouds."

The Valonqar is the most interesting part now -- the term means "little brother" -- as it went thusly: "And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you."

For a long time, the assumption was that this would be Tyrion, with a contentious relationship and the blatant enmity between the two (and where Cersei almost managed to get Tyrion executed in Season 4).

Now, thematically, it's become more and more plausible that it could be her incestuous lover twin (who is slightly younger than her) Jaime, mainly because of how it's established from Episode 1 of "what Jaime is willing to do for love" rather flippantly, when he disables Bran by callously pushing him out a window to preserve the secret of the twins' incest, and you'd think this might get revisited / spun around in some way.

- Jaime is ethically noble on some level and willing to break a commitment when the lives of many are at stake -- such as breaking his vow as King's Guard to stop Aerys II from destroying King's Landing with wildfire. Brienne sees the noble aspect to his character, and you see him respond to that. It doesn't help that Cersei has just killed a large number of people using wildfire.

- Jaime's largest point of admiration for Cersei was how she (like Catelyn Stark) would do anything for her babies... but here Cersei has essentially sealed the doom of her last child -- also Jaime's child -- and without a tear climbs upon the throne to claim power. Essentially at this point, Cersei seems to have resigned herself to the inevitable and is now going for broke; there will be no reining her in, her children were her focus before but now they are all gone and she has nothing to live for.

- The look upon Jaime's face at her coronation is unreadable, aside from the "WTF have you done???" She might have in the short-term saved herself and rid the city of The Sparrow and his militants, but she has created a host of difficulties in the long run and essentially ruined the Lannisters in terms of the longevity of the House.

The main difficulty is that Jaime isn't wrapping one of his hands around anyone's throat -- it's made of metal -- but I suppose it depends on how literal the prophecy is.

But essentially you seem the twins moving in opposite directions now. Jaime is moving away from his dark and irresponsible reputation to act more nobly and to preserve life (which you saw flickers of potential for when he broke his vow to murder Aerys) -- and he's even been taking actions to prevent bloodshed as much as possible on the battlefield -- while Cersei is moving away from machinations in the dark and the imposed constraints of protecting her children to simply wielding power with impunity.

How can love survive?

Yeah, I still think aside from Lyanna telling off the northern leaders towering around her, one of the best scenes was between Cersei and Unella (or whatever her name is). Karma is a bitch. The ambiguity of outcome probably made it better -- my imagination is probably worse than what they could show. Was I really rooting for Cersei there? It was a deliciously acted scene.

as far as Margaery:

That sucked. I really liked Margaery. And she was wily, and smart, and socially cunning. But she was young and not necessarily ruthless -- and Cersei has had years to stew inside The Game. She will go to the wall, without apology. Margaery was a deadly enemy and threatened to take her sons from her, and Margaery has also arranged things to destroy Cersei via the Sparrow's faith while extracting herself. So Cersei took her out without even playing the social games; she just did something so outrageous, without regard for other life, that Margaery had no way to respond in time.

In her favor, she knew something was wrong shortly before the end. The Sparrow was the fool. That didn't save Margaery, but she played well while simply just not being experienced enough to see this coming + have a backup plan. Imagine if Margaery had another twenty years of game playing under her belt; she might have become more like Cersei. But in this case, alas. It reminds me slightly of that bit in the original Robocop movie, where Bob Morton sees himself as the new up and comer, but wily old Dick Jones takes the game to another level of ruthlessness and finishes him off when he least expects it... because age/experience and lack of scruples counts for something.

Margaery did win in the sense that she actually had Tommen. Cersei thought she could save her son; but she had already lost him. She didn't predict Tommen's next action and thought she still had him under wing.
