What are the top 3 types that you related to while figuring out your type? Or the ones you relate to now even if you are settled in your type?

I mostly circled around the NP types. I first tested as INFP on 16personalities.com, then after years of searching and analyzing the system and trying to convince myself I grew settled into INTP (Which is what I initially thought fit after doing enough functional research, profile research, and whatnot).

How is it that Se is shallow relative to Si? Also, shouldn't an NP type's Si be more of a "weak link" than anything?

INxP's tend to have a hidden way of thinking it's a must that they be controlled and reserved.

Depends on person whether its weak or not. But weak or strong its used in support of dom.

Its Si perception which is area of focus that spins me in circles. Differing of important and matters due to S vs N. I am good with INTP one on one. But throw me in an enviroment full of them and it magnifies greatly the difference between those.

Se more runs, while Si observes S stuff. Experience vs Introspection.

Ne plus Si introspection...extrapolation is a different focus then Se plus Ni introspection...extrapolation.

I could vouch for that, I do feel as though I'm very calculated and everything I do is planned to some degree, which also translates to social situations where I would consider my style mindful and reserved. Though I also do crazy things, things I never see anyone else do and can go completely out of character if I care to test something, but this also resides in my mind as a "calculation." It's never truly spur of the moment and random.

How did you ultimately differentiate Ne from Se, then?

I tested/related to as these when younger:
INTP
ISTP
INTJ

I've never doubted being an introvert or a Ti dom. SP descriptions fall flat. They *really* do and I attribute the sparse mental descriptions in ISTP profiles that hindered me initially.

Finding Enneagram actually helped solidify my MBTI type. More than anything else.

I do relate now with Ni. I have read that at certain ages you get bored with your tried and true and utilize tertiary and inferior.

Or, at least, I'm having fun with Ni. Utilizing it more. Not just as a defense, but really going in those directions. Following it more. Even though it brings me back to starting points! Then I find it's all a bit pointless. But it is interesting.

Fe is a muscle, I'm not sure I will ever not be challenged by.

I guess now, I relate to ESTP a bit more.

Just over time with more diverse like on here and more reading up on a combinations of descriptions, examples, real life typing. Over time it has worked its way out after 8 years...damn its been that long since i joined here

ENTP, ESTP, ESFP have all been ones I've considered possible for me, but less ESFP and more ESTP

I've only really been playing with Typology and relating my personal experience to the functions for about a year now, so my previously associated types and current types are basically the same.

Anyways, at first I typed as INFP, felt it was a good fit, then took the test a few more times then typed as ENFP. This is where it got interesting since I felt it was closer to how I saw the world, even though INFP was close.

The types I've also jumbled around while being on this forum and gave serious consideration to are: ESFP first, then ENTP more recently as I feel I do have some Ti going on.

Overall though, still see ENFP as the most logical fit. The other two come and go depending on my mood haha. Basically, I see myself aligning along the ExxP area.

I usually score close to T on dichotomy tests but I don't have a drop of Ti so INTP has never been a real consideration

Thought INTJ right out of college, then INFJ/INFx, have settled contentedly on ISFP.

Thought INFP for the first year or so when I discovered MBTI when I was 14. Then INFJ for a very long time. Breifly INTJ, and eventually settled on ENFJ.

Due to mental illness lots of stuff clouded me and made me see myself as an introvert even though I never was one.
