I've mentioned it before, but DiscoBiscuit reminds me of Ders from Workaholics.

Again, while I had a period espousing libertarian ideas, I moved far from them long ago, especially on government.

I actually favor good government. Starve the beast attitudes seem like cheap ideas to justify looting the state and cover for cronyism. I find big business as bad if not worse than big government.

And I am very very far from him personality wise.

I, probably like you, have met many Ron Swansons.
We don't currently have any here.

Joan Crawford was a bad bitch way before that shit was fashionable. <3

That said, never cared too much about wire hangers one way or the other. I've always taken more cues from Bette Davis on the finer points of the art of being utterly implacable. :alttongue:

Oh god... EJCC as Jessica Huang is too perfect. Though EJCC is far warmer, but it is TV.

(I've also never put a vicious alien in an airlock while wearing a mech suit, as much as I'd love to)

EJCC I associate with Javert because of that one time she posted a Javert gif somewhere and I responded with a Valjean reaction gif. This association will never leave my mind now. It is there forever.
Perhaps, in a "there but for the grace of God" sense. But EJCC has the grace of God, and good family, and education, and if ever confronted by "the void of a world that cannot hold" will have the resilience to begin another story, more like Jean Valjean himself.

But I know what you mean in making the comparison.

Hah already did @coriolis as Severus Snape
The corresponding character for me, and one of my favorites, in part for this reason.

Oaky: Atticus Finch, To Kill a Mockingbird
This is perfect.

Wind Up Rex Katniss Everdeen
I would assign Katniss to whatever, though whatever is more social. Another possibility is Eponine from Les Miserables.

A few more:

Amargith: Pocahontas, from the disney movie (yes, it's been said before)

themightyfetus: Belle, from the disney Beauty & the Beast

tinker683: Jean Valjean

EJCC: Eowyn

Kullervo: Heathcliff

uumlau: Cadfael

PeaceBaby: Goldmoon (sorry - obscure, from Dragonlance series)

Eilonwy: much younger version of Miss Marple

Hard: perhaps a much younger version of Hercule Poirot

Mole: Xenophilus Lovegood

Hard: perhaps a much younger version of Hercule Poirot

I am not familar with her novels, but I gave a quick review of this characters personality... and I'd have to say this is spot on.

Actually, all of the ones I know that you suggested to others are really spot on. Nicely done :)

I actually almost gave you Katniss and went with Michonne last second

Conclusion: You're both Green Arrow, but one of you is the secret identity whereas the other's the hero identity. :p

Real examples may come at some point.

Michonne fits better. I gave you Katniss because of her devotion. Her immediate defense of what she loves. I see Fi rather than Fe in Katniss. What starts her on her journey is in defense of her sister, not pragmatic in nature like Michonne. I doubt Katniss would hack off Prim's arms and jaw and walk her on a leash if she were in the zombie world.

Maybe not a best fit, but you were difficult to think of.

tinker683: Jean Valjean

Hugh Jackman Valjean or Liam Neeson Valjean? Just need to know how handsome I am in this film ;)

I'm mostly kidding, thank you for the comparison though, it's deeply flattering :)
