I really like Danny Elfman. I enjoy a lot of his film scores, and I'm a big fan of Oingo Boingo, his band back in the '80s. (My sister and oldest brother got to go to one of their concerts, and I still resent them for it. Never mind that I was only five years old at the time.)
I've been trying to type him for a while now, and I'm pretty sure he's an ENTP. He's got this manic energy and nerdy mad-scientist vibe about him, and his music is very quirky; in fact, he seems to rejoice in being weird. In his own words, "I enjoy that strange feeling of putting a piece in front of the orchestra, and the looks I get back from them are, you know, 'Oh my God, what is this?'" And, "I still consistently come up with music that's impossible to play."
He could also be an ENFP. He's pretty passionate and enthusiastic. I don't know. But here's a pretty good interview, where he explains how his career became what it is today.
What do you guys think? ENTP? ENFP? Or something else entirely?
